“Can I help you?” The saleswoman approached me.
“No.” I didn’t know what else to say. There was no chance in hell I could afford a car like this. Or like any of these. “Um just looking.” I added, when she was standing there frowning. I heard her mutter‘great another time-waster’as she walked off. I wondered why Cage would want me to meet him here. Maybe he was buying a car? Then again, he lived for old cars. I knew that much about him. If he couldn’t work on it, it was useless to him and his interest in it would disappear.
I heard the door open, and my eyes took in Cage Hurley. There were two things about him that I knew for certain, one the man always wore club colors two, he’d die in those club colors. And right now, that was being questioned because he wasn’t wearing club colors.
I watched as the salesman pulled down her top, showing her cleavage. I saw her look at Cage, like he was a piece of meat, and she was a meat eater that hadn’t eaten in years.
I crossed my arms, watching her approach him.
“Cage Hurley.” He shook her hand.
“Nice to meet you Cage, I’m Melissa, are you purchasing a car today?”
“I calledearlier.” He looked at her, and then it clicked on her face. And the grin on her face, oh my god- you would think he gave her an orgasm.
“Oh yes you secured a Mercedes-AMG SL 63? Correct?” She riddled off the details of the car.
He nodded his head.
“But you weren’t certain on which color? We have blue, black, white and cream in stock at our warehouse.”
Cage’s eyes scanned the showroom floor and landed on me. “My girlfriend would be the one to ask about that.” He waved for me to come over, and I was frozen. One. Why would I be picking a color for a $300k car. Two, his girlfriend? What the fuck?
We had not had that conversation!
I walked to him numb. Which caused him to smirk, as he placed an arm around my waist.
“So darling, what color would you like? If you want to wait, we can get a custom colour. Isn’t that right Melissa?” he said, with that smooth velvet voice.
Melissa looked gutted and nodded her head forcing a smile. “Anything for a customer like yourself Cage.”
His mouth went to my ear. “So what will it be?”
The color I couldn’t care about. But what this meant, scared the hell out of me. Cage buying me a car, let alone one as expensive as this, well it said something. It said, and as I looked at him, I was hoping I wasn’t right- but I saw it in his eyes. He was taking the first step to claiming me as his.
Fucking hell, what have I gotten myself into.

I was standing in the lot, watching the car being taken off the back of the truck. Holly stepped to my side.
“Now that’s a car.” She said, and I nodded my head looking at the cream car that would cost more than whatever I will make.
I snuck a glance at her, and she was looking directly at me. “Cage buy it for you?”
I nodded my head.
“Geez you aren’t saying much,” she said, and I gave her a dry expression.
“Cage bought me a car.” I said each word clearly and she giggled.
“God someone’s freaking out.” She nudged my shoulder. Holly and I had patched things up, and I actually think, her and I could be good friends.
“Cage isn’t one to go backwards in coming forward, if you get what I mean?”
“I don’t think a trained psychiatrist would get what you mean,” I muttered.
The car was unloaded, and I had to go sign for it. God Cage and I hadn’t even had a conversation about being in a relationship, and then he goes and does this! My hand was shaking as I signed for that car, because in some ways I felt like I was signing a marriage certificate.
