“So she is okay?” I demand to know.
Gabe looks at me. “She only goes to Links when something is wrong.” He glances down at his phone. “He’s the oldest she always turns to him when she is in over her head.”
Elle nods her head. “It started from a young age. Like I remember when we were ten, two boys cornered Ivory behind the bike sheds and wanted to kiss her. She went to Links.”
“When she was failing school. She went to Links. When she totaled Dad’s new car, the day of purchase. She went to Links.” Gabe sighed “You know something major has happened when she turns to him.”
I can’t stop myself from feeling jealousy. I wanted her to turn to me. Not ditch me at a nightclub.
“So what happened this time?” I ask running a hand over my head feeling uncertain about what would cause Ivory to just leave.
“She won’t tell him.”
“What!” Elle gasps. “But she always… always tells him the reason.”
Gabe shrugs his shoulders and looks at me. “You haven’t done anything to upset her?” He was remaining very calm as he asked that question.
“No.” And I wished I could say yes so I knew how to fix it. Cause if I knew what I had done wrong I would fix it.
“Well helpfully she tells Links then.” Is all Gabe says. “I’m heading back to bed.”
“Question.” Elle spoke up and is looking at Gabe. “Why did you change rooms with Bell?”
“I didn’t. She moved in thinking it was Kace’s room.” Gabe looks in every direction but mine.
“Have you told her it isn’t?” Elle has a slight smile on her face.
Gabe doesn’t say anything instead he just walks away, leaving the room.

Kace
Arriving at Lincoln’s house, I scanned the white pillar mansion. This man had money. There was no assuming that, it screamed it at the ten foot custom gates that I had just ridden through. Which for all purposes was a nightmare to get through because his security wouldn’t let me. So I demanded to speak to Lincoln, and finally I get through.
Walking up the marble looking steps to the two double doors. I’m unsure which one to knock on. Till the first one opens. And standing just behind the door, is Ivory. She’s wearing a long white dress shirt, and had black eyes and I assume it is from crying. She’s looking at me, but it’s like she is looking through me.
“Hey baby,” I say as I approach her, and she shakes her head. Putting a hand out and letting the door swing open.
“Don’t Kace.” And her voice breaks. It takes everything in me not to touch her.
“Tell me what happened.” I needed to know what got her this upset. I need to know what I had done. “Something happened at the club darling, for you to be here.”
“I’m in damage control.” She whispers and tears fill her eyes. “I told myself I wouldn’t cry.” She said frustrated with herself. She then looks me in the eyes. “I know.”
“Know what?”
“That night at Prince’s, you and me.” She adds, and I’m still staring at her. Got no idea what she is on about.
“Our first time together. What about it?” I was unsure why our first time would upset her. Was she regretting ever getting involved with me? Was that the angle she was taking? “Do you regret it?” I finally say the words, that must be the case from her.
She scoffs. “No one wants a sex tape Kace. How could you…” Her voice breaks. “How could you do that to me? Was it to hurt Gabe? Or me? Or both!”
“Sex tape. Ivory. I don’t know what you are talking about!”
“Prince filmed it.” And her voice is shaking now her eyes dropping to her hands in front of her. “I saw the video. He said you turned the cameras on to film it.”
One moment. I’m standing there confused. The next, I completely understand. Then the moment after that, I’m ready to handle it.
