Page 18 of Viper's Claim

“Because she didn’t make you feel.” He put a hand on my shoulder. “Aurora scares you. She brings out my real son. She sees you, not just the notorious viper. Don’t do what I did and fight it.”

“I can’t just claim her, I barely know her.”

Dad smirked. “I didn’t know Abby when I saved her in an alley but I knew she was mine.” With that said, he left me in the boardroom and I felt torn. Cleo ripped me to shreds. After what happened… Could I really trust another woman?

But Aurora wasn’t any woman. And I know that, yet I found myself fighting it. Just as dad told me not to.

I opened the garage door. Demon was working on a bike. The man never showed emotion. Could be hearted. Deadman walking. Yet, I needed something from him. Aurora’s real address wasn’t known.

But I know he knew it.

I couldn’t track it down. Fucking tried. But she had gone to lengths to hide it from her stepbrothers.

“Demon.” I addressed him.

He looked up and grunted in response.

“You know why I’m here?”

He kept working on the bike. Ignoring me.

“I want her address. Her real one.” I stated. Didn’t fucking ask. He answered to me and if he didn’t give me this address, I was going to kill his ability to earn in Satan’s Sons.

He stood up. I had his attention.

“Aurora’s address,” I repeated.

“I fucking know whose address you want.” He looked at me coldly. “I hurt her and I ain’t letting you do the same.”

“I’m not like you.” I wanted to make that fucking clear. “If she had my kid, I wouldn’t have walked away. Turned my back like a coward.”

His grip on the spanner tightened.

“You’ll fuck her over worse than I ever did.” He pointed the spanner at me. “You’re the notorious Viper. You’ll ruin my woman.”

“Your woman.” I coldly glared at him. “She wasn’t your woman when she was lying under me. Moaning my name.”

He just gave me his death glare. “Ya lucky you are Reaper’s son. Otherwise, I’d kill you.”

“You’re lucky my father wants you alive. Otherwise, I’d put a bullet in ya head. Her address.”

His cold glare turned into a smirk. “You know what Viper. I’m not sure if you’ll ruin her if she will ruin you. Fuck. I don’t care. Nineteen Greyson Avenue. Apartment B. Fucking good luck making her trust you.”

“Yeah because you ruined her trust in men. But I ain’t like you.”

He laughed and looked at me. “I didn’t ruin her trust. Her old man did. She’s either your death or your savior. Either way. I don’t give a fuck. Now leave me the fuck alone.”

I left with one direction in mind. Wasn’t even fucking sure what I’d say to her. But I was going there, regardless. She gave me something that I couldn’t explain…peace or….calmness. Like I wasn’t rotten to the core.

Like she saw me. Broken and all, but that crap didn’t matter to her. And that was the reason I mounted my bike, making it roar to life. I was heading in one direction, to her, and Demon’s words were on my mind. She would save me, or be the death of me. The reality was she couldn’t do any more damage than Cleo had done.

I knocked on her door. At least I assumed it was her door. Greyson Avenue Apartment B. I knocked again, firmer. Maybe she wasn’t here.

Then the door cracked open and a chain across it.
