“The hope you carry that my son can be saved. He’s split like his father. Thanks to a woman. I’ll tell you now if that woman steps back through those doors. There’s no question on who will win.” Abby stood up. “And I’m sorry you’ll get hurt because your heart is pure.”
With those words, she left me standing there. She honestly thought my heart was pure? She didn’t know me, at all.
I went there with the wrong intentions. Reaper knew that. It was why he came to control me. Well, it worked. I had only managed to shoot Andrew’s arm, as dad forced my arm down mid-shoot. He didn’t want me killing them.
Gave them another warning. Just to frustrate me, I believe. I arrived back at the clubhouse. Small hours of the morning, with the rest of the boys. By the time I cleaned myself up in a spare dorm room. I walked to my room where Aurora was.
I slowly opened the door, and she was asleep. I inhaled and exhaled. I felt at peace.
Those men were going to die for what they had done to her. It was just a question of when.
I pulled her to my side, kissing the side of her head, as soon as I climbed into bed.
Her hand went over my heart, as she curled to me. I felt myself feeling more and more with her and as much as it scared me; it gave me hope that I could love again.
* * *
I woke up to my cheek being kissed. I turned and saw her. Immediately I pulled her on top of me.
“You’re awake early,” I mumbled.
“Just happy to see you not bleeding or a corpse.”
“Come on babe, you’ve got to have more faith in me than that.”
I linked my hands with hers. She was beautiful, but her bruised face caused anger inside me.
A fist slammed on my dorm room door. Pissed me off immediately.
“Fuck off.” I roared.
“Tyson I need to take Aurora for a bit,” Eve said.
What the hell. Eve normally isn’t even awake this early.
Aurora just got off me and I groaned. “Fucking hate my little sisters at times.”
“No, you don’t.” She shot me a smile. “You love them all the time.”
She shrugged a dress on and looked flawless. I pulled on jeans and walked out of the room with her.
“What’s so important you need her now?” I snapped at Eve.
“Just girl stuff and we have to go this way.” Eve grabbed Aurora’s arm, and I slapped it off.
“Are you snorting or something? Why are you dragging my woman out the back entrance?”
Eve was taken back for a second. I’d just said it out loud. My woman.
“Tyson. We have to go.” She stated each word clearly. Like I should be picking up a hint or something.
I cupped Aurora’s face. “If you need me, call me, you understand? Don’t fucking let her get you in trouble.” And then I kissed the top forehead.
“Tyson?”
I froze.
“Fucking bitch. I told her to wait.” Eve muttered.
