It was the honest trust. Club girls were pussy. That was it.

She scoffed.

“No, that would involve you feeling something Tyson and you can’t do that!”

I rolled my eyes. Here we go again.

“Ever since that car accident. Ever since you lost Cleo. I lost my brother. Then I lost Hannah when she got cancer, lied to me, and is marrying a man I once respected. Then there is Dad, who is living every day hiding something!”

I looked at her coldly. Even when I saw the tears form in her eyes.

It pulled on my gut seeing her upset. But I couldn’t show it.

She wiped the angry tears away.

“But why should I expect the famous Viper to care,” she then looked at me. “you can’t feel anything.”

I continued to stare at her. No emotion.

“Aurora is too good for you.”

I shrugged.

“Aurora can do whatever the fuck she wants.”

“Including fucking whoever she wants.”

That got a trigger emotion out of me.

“What is that meant to mean?”

“Let’s just say. I’m not just associated with the club and I know a lot of real men that would treat my best friend a hell of a lot better than you.”

“You get involved with those fucking—”

“You mean our cousins.” She purposely cut me off. “Maybe I wouldn’t have to even look past the club. We both saw Axe’s reaction just then.”

“Axe wouldn’t go near her.”

“Why your boyfriend, wouldn’t betray your trust? Look what Brad did to dad.”

She was trying to get a reaction out of me. She wanted me to declare that I felt something for Aurora. I saw it in her eyes. I know my sister, even if she had been a stranger most of these years.

I looked at the boardroom door and didn’t give her fucking anything. No emotion. No reaction. But I agreed with her, Aurora deserved a fucking real man. But that didn’t mean she deserved someone in our culture.

I looked across the bar and I saw Axe fucking talking to Aurora!

I power walked to them.

“We’re going.” I looked at Axe.

He was relaxed. My best mate didn’t do relaxed. I looked between them.

“Unless you want to fuck off with her and my sister?”

Axe’s expression changed, and he gave me a clear, pull my fucking head in look.

Eve was at my side and grabbed Aurora’s wrist.
