“Bye East.” My tone was natural but my heart had never been more conflicted.
How could I forgive my sister for just leaving me? She left me with them. She never looked back. All this time I thought she had gone to another town, state, or something. Instead, she had remained here. As I walked towards Eve. The same question that always haunted me, went through my mind.
She left me. Even when she knew what was happening. Had she believed the lie Ashley spun to her?
Club meeting and all I can fucking think about is how Aurora has disappeared. I hadn’t seen her since she walked out of the club with Eve. Fuck knows where they are.
“Now to the nightclubs,” Reaper said. Redirecting the meeting. “Aurora is putting her name down as owner—”
“Like fuck she is!” I cut him off. “She ain’t getting involved. She’s a fucking outsider!”
Why was everyone just accepting this woman into our lives? Dad has basically fucking adopted her. But I drew the line with her getting involved with the club.
After all, that was what I was protecting her from.
Wasn’t it?
“I trust her.” Reaper looked at me. “Unless you have another reason for my view on her to change?”
“She is a fucking outsider. She could turn on us!”
Reaper looked at me coldly. Even with a tint of shame in his eyes.
“She stopped being an outsider when she shot someone for me and saved my life. Now to the vote.”
I gritted my teeth, and I was the only one to say nay.
Reaper slammed the hammer down and I wanted to take that hammer and slam some sense into him!
I stormed out of the boardroom before anyone else. To see my fucking cousin standing in the bar.
“Kingston. What ya doin’ here?” I roared at him. Taking some of the heat I was feeling onto him.
I wanted a fight. Kingston was always up for one. Just had to look at him the wrong way.
I looked at the stop sign he was holding.
He shoved it into my chest.
“Give that to her.”
Had he lost his fucking head? Who in their right mind would want a stop sign?
“Who?” I grabbed it.
“Aurora.”
With that one word. He gave a nod to Reaper and left.
So Kingston was her type. Fucked in the fucking head. Just like Demon.
I threw the stop sign on the bar and grabbed a whiskey bottle.
“Shouldn’t speak to your cousin like that,” Reaper said to me.
“You can fuck off, just like him.” I popped the whiskey lid off and then looked at him. While he gave me the Reaper cold stare. I was still wanting a fight and I wouldn’t mind throwing a few punches at him.
“What got something to say?” I asked smugly. Wanting that fight. He was getting Aurora involved. He was using her. He was fucking everything up! She was meant to leave.
