The boys remained silent.

“Jax will just see Jack as a weakness.” I knew Jax.

Cole grunted “He is the weak one. Pushing you away. He knew he fucked up when you turned the tables on him.”

“I’m proud you did that by the way,” Troy said. “Standing up to him. I’m proud you’ve done it. But I wish you hadn’t done the same to us.”

I smiled dimly. “Well, you guys found me in the end.”

“Yeah, we did. Thank fuck for that.” Adam laid down. “I swear the ride here killed my back.”

“You sound like an old man,” I giggled, keeping my head on Cole’s shoulder.

“You ride seventeen hours straight and see how you feel,” Adam snapped back at me. Seemed he was touchy when it came to age. Well, that just pulled out the little sister in me.

“Amber?”

My head snapped up. Will.

I got up. “Oh, my god. I didn’t set alarms!” I was panicked immediately.

Will took in the filled room but he didn’t seem scared of my brothers. “I knew you would forget, so I did. We have guests?” He looked back at me.

“Yeah, my brothers.”

“And you didn’t pull the emergency escape plan?” Will smiled as I walked toward him.

“They stopped me before I could make it to the car.” I went into his arm.

“And Jack’s up, I see.” Will spotted Jack.

“Um, yep.”

He pulled me back. “And you seriously aren’t panicking? I’m impressed.”

“I think I’ve handled this morning’s events very well,” I said with disbelief.

“Guessing it wasn’t Tinks then that got you up?” Will smirked at me, knowing very well how much I hate that fucking cat!

“What’s a Tinks?” Adam asked, amused.

“Your sister’s mortal enemy.” Will extended a hand. “I’m Will.” I wasn’t surprised when he gave the boys a real smile, like he had been expecting this day to come.

The boys all introduced themselves. They were actually polite, which surprised me, because when it came to any guy in my life, they were automatically jerks to them.

“I was waiting for the day you guys tracked her. I’ve been tracking your efforts,” Will said, slightly impressed.

And the expressions that my brothers had been giving him, which could be classed as friendly, were now anything but. I knew what they were thinking.

“You a cop?” Cole got up, not hiding his dislike for the police. I guess it was in a Shield’s blood to hate the police. Even though I was living a straight life now, I still hated the police.

“No.” Will smiled. “Nearly as bad though, a lawyer.”

“For the defense,” I added. “So, he is the one putting the case together for you guys normally.”

“Well, as long as he is not a cop, I’ll have him as a brother-in-law,” Tyler said, getting up and giving Will a smile.

I couldn’t stop my laugh. “Will and I aren’t married.”
