“Amazing what she will say for stir fry.” He mocked me in front of everyone. He held it out of reach of me. “Tell me I’m your number one brother,” he playfully teased me. This side of Cole one rarely sees.

I pursed my lips. “I am not starting that argument.” I reached for the stir fry, missing it. “I actually have something I’ve been meaning to show you.” I didn’t know if now was the right time to show him. But then it might get me stir fry.

“I don’t need to see or hear what you and Jax have been doing while we have been gone.” He rolled his eyes, as if I would suddenly turn around and make out with Jax.

I lifted up my top. I knew I only had underwear on. But I did used to live in a bikini around them.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Cole looked at me like I had lost my mind. His eyes didn’t leave mine, like he refused to see my body.

“Cole, I’m not naked. God, just look.”

His eyes dropped, and then I saw his expression change and Cole, who always had something to say, went speechless.

Right under my breast, near my heart, was his name. I thought it was only fitting to get his name where he had mine. He was the only one out of all my brothers, who had my name tattooed on them. Cole always was the most protective of me.

When he got it, I asked if he even consider what his future wife might think of him having my name tattooed on him.

He said if she didn’t accept our relationship, she wasn’t meant to be his wife.

“That’s unfair!” Tyler saw Cole’s name. “Have you got my name?”

“Nope.” I lowered my top. “Last time you didn’t have mine either.” I gave him a pointed look and then I took the stir fry off Cole, as he remained speechless. “So, you guys got a shit load of food. You having a bender or something?”

I started picking the noodles out of the stir fry.

“UFC fight is live at midnight,” Adam answered and then his face lit up. “Wanna stay up and watch?”

I heard the front door open. Well, there was only one person that could be. My eyes glanced at Troy. He must have realized as well. What do you know, my always calm brother, was having a panic attack.

I heard Chelsea’s heels come up the hall.

“Hey, Chels.” I put my stir fry down. My best friend balanced a laptop, iPad, and a shit load of paperwork.

“Hey, sorry to turn up late.” She didn’t look around, her eyes were on her phone, which she was trying to type a message on, while balancing everything she was carrying.

I automatically went to her. “I told you I didn’t expect you to do overtime.” I went to take stuff off her but Jax was at my side, doing it for me. He then gave me a pointed look.

I rolled my eyes. How did he know I wasn’t meant to be carrying stuff? I was going to get how he knew that out of him later.

“Thanks, Jackson.” Chelsea let out a long sigh and I wanted to smirk but didn’t. Jax hates his full name.

“It’s Jax, Chels. But if you keep calling him Jackson, I’ll give you a pay rise.” I couldn’t stop the evil grin. Jax having to suffer listening to his full name. Ha. I would pay for that.

Chels rolled her eyes. “Seems you are back to stirring shit.” Her eyes went to Jax. “Sorry. I promise not to call you your full name again.” Then Chels gave me a smug look. “No matter how much your future wife promises to pay me.”

My eyes narrowed automatically on her. “I’m no one’s future wife.” I was saying that, even though hearing the chance of me ending up married to Jax did send my inner girl to go into delight.

“I knew you worked hard. Clearly, I didn’t realize how much though.” She sighed, letting the subject of Jax and I getting married go. “I couldn’t even get what you get done in an hour, in a day.”

“Come on, Chels, I told you I didn’t expect you to. Anyway, you are doing more than Dex.” I went back to my stir fry. “You hungry?”

“I don’t have time for food. Do you mind if I set up at the table for the night?”

“You aren’t working all night.” I stopped picking at my stir fry. “Seriously, Chels. You don’t have to.”

She crossed her arms. “Then you’ll drop the pay rise.”

I knew she needed the money. “Fine. Who am I to tell you what to do? I’m only your boss. The boys are staying up watching the UFC fight. So, you’ll have to somehow work with them screaming at the television.”
