My heart nearly rips from my chest. No one has ever told me they love me before. I’ve never felt love, but I know for sure that what I feel for him is exactly that.

“I love you, Jayden.”

His eyes close briefly, almost with relief, before he tenderly kisses me. It’s slow and soft. He’s showing me how he feels, and I completely understand.

When he breaks the kiss, he wipes away my tears. “You alright?”

“Never better.”

He smiles and lets me slide down his body. His hands rests on my cheeks as he searches my eyes. I’m not sure what he’s looking for, but I hope he finds it.

Before I can question him, I feel Ace’s nose on my bare leg, and I scream. “Ace, no.”

Jayden chuckles, letting me go. I rush into the kitchen and pull my sundress back on before looking for my panties.

“I hate when he does that,” I say, turning to look at Jayden.

He’s buttoning his jeans and smiles as he steps against me. “He’s just being nosy. It doesn’t mean anything.”

I lift an eyebrow and stare at him. “When I’m naked, I don’t want to feel anything that isn’t you.”

A huge smile hits his lips, and he nods. “When you put it like that, how can I argue.”
