“Oh yeah, you do. His eyes are glued to that big, donkey butt of yours, and you’re loving every minute of it.” He laughs.

“I know you see the way my clothes are ripped to shreds, right?” He shakes his head yes. “Well then, you can guess what happened in the waiting room or you probably know because you were lingering around.”

“Of course, I was snooping, but I couldn’t see or hear what you guys were doing in there.” Another interesting thing I have to add to my list to investigate. I wonder why he couldn’t see, not that I wanted him to but still.

“Serves you right.” We arrived at my office a few moments later. “Alright, gentleman, give me a moment, and I’ll be right out.” I turn to shut the door on them, when Aryas sticks his foot inside, preventing me from doing so.

“Don’t close the door, I’ll come in and wait for you.” Aww, it’s so cute he thinks he’s gonna come in and prevent me from actually changing. I smile ever so sweetly at him, which catches him off guard as I stomp his foot with mine and slam the door in his face.

“Sorry, not sorry. Be back in a jiff.” I lock it behind me so he doesn’t come in and try to punish me for that. Then again, I might like it. I chuckle to myself, heading to the bathroom where my spare clothes are located.

Aryas

“So, Randy, how did you die and come to befriend my girl?” I ask, turning towards him.

“Wait a minute, you can see me?” He asks, surprised.

“I can see many things.” My answer baffles him as his mouth hangs open.

“How? Nobody can see me except for Mo-, I mean Juniper and other dead people, of course.” Hmm, I caught that little slip, and I know he was about to call her by her real name. It didn’t take me long to figure out who she was… With some help, of course.

“Other necromancers can’t see you?” I ask, trying to gain his trust with small talk.

“You won’t gain my trust by your small talk, what is your game here?” So, he can read minds, too? He is full of surprises.

“Yeah, I can, and you can see dead people or is that not true?” He asks. So, he wants to compare dicks, I’m game.

“Yeah, it’s true, but that’s not all. Unfortunately, we don’t have time to get into that right now. What do you know about her?”

“Wait a minute, you think I’m going to give you intel on my bestie in there?” He doesn’t wait for me to answer. “Well, you’re sadly mistaken. I won’t tell you anything. Find out on your own Mr. Secret Keeper.” He says about to disappear. I reach out and grab his arm, catching him off guard. “What the fuck are you?”

Even if I wanted to give him a glimpse of what I am, I can’t because I’m momentarily immobile as the black beauty that is Juniper comes waltzing out of her office in an outfit even sexier than before.

“Alright, I’m finished.” She announces, but I make no effort to move.

Moon

There he goes again, looking at me like he wants to eat me.

“It’s because I do want to, and soon, I will.” Wholly shit! I’m clenching my legs together as a pool of wetness gathers there.

“Okay then. Uh, is it hot in here or is it just me?”

“No.” They both answer in unison.

“Oh, okay. Let’s get down to business then.” I say, passing around Aryas to make my way to the morgue. “What are the names of the folks you want me to contact?”

“It’s a couple that died a long time ago.” Curiosity is getting the better of me as I pry for more information.

“Just a couple? Friends? ” I have more questions that need answers but I decided to take a breath and let him answer a few.

“Just a couple. I have a feeling that they didn’t die by accident and their death caused someone I know to spiral out of control. I want to get down to the bottom of it before I move forward with my plan.” He lets that part slip in, and now, I don’t know what to think.

“There’s something that’s bothering me.” I begin, tuning around to face him. “Why would you come here to talk to me about summoning the dead? I mean, I thought you had skills, and would see that I don’t summon them here, but I guess those skills could only take you so far.”

“Are you gonna tell her or am I?” Randy chimes in.
