“You do not have a miserable life, Juniper, something fun is bound to happen real soon.” Amanda promises, and just like that, the air shifts and something familiar brings me back to the first day we met.
Walking into the room with us, looking as edible as the first time I met him is Aryas. My mouth does this weird thing of hanging open whenever he’s around, and it’s rather annoying. I quickly close it before he can see that I am still completely and utterly smitten with him.
But he has a lot of explaining to do… To someone else, because I refuse to sit here and let him treat me the way he did the last time we were together. The assassin treated me so much better, even though he left me after he declared he wanted me or whatever it was he said.
“I’m out of here.” I announce as I begin to walk out of the room. Aryas reaches out and grabs my arm. Immediately my eyes begin to change to white. “Don’t touch me.” I hiss.
“You never called me with the information you found.” He answers, ignoring the fact that I said not to touch me.
“I don’t answer to you.” I grunt, ripping my arm out of his grasp. “I don’t have anything to say to you.” I mumble, completely lying. I have loads to say, but I refuse to make myself look vulnerable or let him know how much he hurt me.
“I am sorry for the way I acted the last time we were together. I thought I was protecting you, but I hurt you instead. Please, don’t think that you’re the only one that has been hurting.” He mumbles.
“I’m the only one that is hurting… You’ve got some balls coming in here and telling me this useless bit of information.” I huff. “Get out of my way.” I grunt.
“No!” He yells, grabs my hand, and teleports us away.

Not even a minute later, we land inside what can only be described as a castle. At least, that’s what it looks like.
Gazing up, I see the ceiling appears to be endless. Chandeliers flow all the way down farther than the eye can see, well the normal eye that is. It’s stunning. The walls are covered in drawings that let me know this place has been around long before I was born. I can’t help but walk over to one of the walls and trace the drawings with my fingers.
“Is this your place?” I ask.
“One of many. Would you like a tour?” He asks, with a tinge of hope in his voice.
“No, I don’t.” I grunt. “Take me back.” No use in trying to win me over, when I’m mad… I’m mad.
“Stop being a brat.” He opens his kissable mouth to continue but shuts it the moment I turn around and he sees my eyes changing to white. “I’m not going to apologize for you acting just as I insinuated… Like a brat.” He growls.
“Whose fault is it that I’m acting like a brat, Aryas?” I ask, backing him into a corner. “You don’t even know what a brat acts like, let alone whatIact like.” I say, invading his space.
“Isn’t it the guy that usually backs the girl into the corner and kisses her senseless?” He asks, his voice shifts down to a much deeper baritone than before. I recognize what it is. He’s turned on by the sudden flip in position where he isn’t the one in control.
“Usually, but who says I’m going to kiss you?” I ask, cocking my head to the side and looking at him through my heated, silvery-white eyes.
“Me.” He answers, slamming his lips down on mine and claiming me just like he did the first time we met. Unlike before, he claims me like it’s our wedding day, and he has to be a good boy in front of the crowd of people.
It’s sweet and almost feels like he’s apologizing for his actions of late. ‘Well, I’m sorry to inform you, no matter how rough or sweet you kiss me, I’m going to be mad for another eternity.’ I send him the message telepathically and wait for his reply.
“I am sorry, Little Doe, I had no right to claim you as I did.” He says, breaking the kiss and baring his teeth. “You belong to another, but you know what?”
“What?” I ask, searching his eyes for what… I do not know. Seconds, maybe even minutes pass before he reacts.
“I don’t give a fuck, you wereminefirst.” He growls, and it does something to me right before he pushes me backwards and charges. Unfurling his wings, he scoops me up before I can hit the ground and takes us through halls that overlook outside of the castle walls.
I suppress a scream as we fly to God only knows where. My curiosity is cut short the moment he brings us near a beautiful door and sits us down on our feet. My eyes are shut as tight as they can be because while it was fun, it was scary as hell.
“Open your eyes for me, Little Doe.” It’s not a request but a demand, and I find myself slowly peeking through my lids and looking up at him. He’s magnificent.
His wings are still open and they are silvery white and full of beautiful feathers. I can’t resist touching them as my hand reaches out to caress them, but I stop.
“May I?” I don’t know why I’m asking for his permission, but I do.
“You can do anything you want, Little Doe. I am at your disposal.” He bows, and I can’t help the blush that creeps up my neck and travels higher until it reaches my cheeks. “I love to see this color on you, it’s beautiful just like you.” He says, coming closer to me.
“Wasn’t I the one in control only moments ago? How did the tables turn.” I ask, backing up as he crowds my space. “What are you doing, Aryas?”
