“I… I just wanted to make sure none of the staff came in and disturbed my sleep. Is something the matter?” I ask, batting my eyes sweetly at him, letting the robe show some on my skin. His eyes notice the movement, then a sly smile passes across his face.
“Yes, something is most definitely the matter. I need my bride-to-be to fuck me like she misses me.” He growls, scooping me in his arms as he crosses the threshold to our room.
He goes to shut the door, but not before I look out and see Wyck standing there with a scowl on his face as he witnesses the interaction between his father and I.
Averting my eyes away from him seems like the logical thing to do. But before I do, I see the hurt on his face and know that I’ve just started something that he will be the one to finish.
Chapter Twenty
Wyck
IthoughtImademyself clear when I told her I didn’t want her fucking my father anymore. Now, there will be hell to pay at her expense. I’m so pissed, I whip out my phone and dial Karter.
“What up?”
“I want to know where she lives.”
“Where who lives?”
”Athens.”
“Doesn’t she live with you and your old man?” He laughs.
“Didn’t you drop her somewhere else the night of the party?”
“Sure did, why?”
“Because she just declared war.”
“How did she declare war, Wyck?”
“Look, I’m not gonna get into it right now.” I grunt.
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll show you. She must really be something to have your panties in a bunch like this.” He laughs, and I slam the phone shut.
I saw the way she looked at me, and she knows she fucked up. I should bust through that door right now and pull her out kicking and screaming, but I won’t. I have other plans in mind.
Weeks pass by as I think back to that night, when she clearly disobeyed what I told her. I’ve been sitting through her biology lectures, which are the same all day, baiting her. She knows I’m gonna win this game we play.
The thought has me smiling to myself as I prepare to have a little pool party with my Devils, some guys, and girls from school, along with Fred.
I haven’t seen much of Athens lately and figure she’s avoiding me. All that’s about to change.
Jogging down the stairs, on my way to the kitchen, I smile to myself when I round the corner and see my father with his hands around her waist as she giggles from something he said.
“Hey, guys.” The fakeness in my voice is evident as I lay it on thick with them. “Athens, I hope you don’t mind, but I gave the staff off today and invited some friends over. It is Saturday.”
“I don’t see why I would mind.” She answers automatically like she’s on autopilot, but that’s about to change when she hears what I have in mind.
“Well, I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind serving up some refreshments for us. You happen to make some amazing finger foods.” I gush, laying my charm on.
“Why don’t you just have something catered for you guys instead.” She says through gritted teeth.
“Because this will give us a chance to bond. Wouldn’t you agree, Father?”
They both exchange looks, but hers is more of a don’t do this look, and I can’t help but smile and add more effect to win her over.
“I don’t think that’s such a bad idea, hun, I am about to leave for a week, and it would please me if you two got closer.” My father beams, having no idea how close we’ve already gotten.
