Chapter 19 Guilt

The decision of moving to Australia very annoyed Steve. He didn’t want to go anywhere right now. He was happy to get a new friend like Eva and it was just the start of their friendship, but this club incident ruined it all. Steve could not understand how he could get that kind of intoxicant by drinking only a few shots.

Anyway, he got into his shower to relax his muscles and had a throbbing headache. He changed into a fresh set of clothes, and then the main thing he did was gulp the medicine to get rid of the hangover, although Richard had given medicine with coffee when he woke up at his place.

Steve then thought about Eva. She must be suffering through the same pain, maybe much more pain than compared to him, as she took many shots in the club.

Steve checked on her, so in slow steps he reached near her room and knocked on the door.

Steve entered her room and saw her sitting on the corner of the bed, holding her head by both of her palms. Steve understood her headache must be unbearable. He slowly forwarded the medicine that he was carrying with him for Eva.

Eva looked up and noticed Steve. Her eyes were red in distress.

“This will help,”

Eva didn’t argue and gulped down the medicine with the glass of water that was placed on her bedside

“Why my head is killing me."

“ Hmm, you remember nothing from last night."

Steve could relate to her as he recalled nothing; it was Richard who narrated the entire incident to him.
