Page 99 of Chasing You

“You know when you just get that feeling like you might be sick?” I press my body up to the buttons, selecting the next floor down behind my back before I stumble across the small space.

Miles puts his arm out for me and I don’t hesitate to hold onto it. I gag, and the woman takes a step back. Horror lights her face.

“Oh god,” I mumble. “I think I’m going to be—-”I gag again, more dramatic this time as the elevator doors open with a ding, and the woman escapes through them just as I had hoped. Looking back at Miles with wide eyes as the doors shut in between us and her.

“Are you okay?” Miles asks as the elevator starts moving again and I stand up straight, smashing the side of my fist against the emergency stop button. “What are yo?—”

“Don’t go on that date,” I say, my heart drumming in my chest.

Miles’s eyes search mine, and I see the moment he realizes that entire thing was an act. “You know, she paid good money for an hour with me,” he says, a cheeky gleam in his eye.

“One minute was more than enough,” I say, my breath quickening. It feels dangerous what I’ve done, trapping myself in an enclosed space with him. But dangerous in a good way.

“Would you rather I went with someone else?” he asks as he takes a step towards me.

I shake my head as I find my back against the wall of the elevator. “I’d rather you didn’t get up on that stage at all.”

“And why is that?” His face is inches away from mine as he curls a piece of my hair around his finger, tucking it behind my ear before I can catch my breath.

“Marina,” he breathes. “I will wait, for as long as it takes for you to want this again. But I just need a hint, something that tells me I’m on the right track. Because I don’t know how long I can last?—”

“Shut up already.” I smash my lips into his. His hands find my face within a second, cradling my head as he sweeps his tongue into my mouth. I moan at the taste of him, at the release of tension that’s been building up inside of me with every day that I haven’t done this.

I take one of his hands and slide it down the front of my top, aching to feel his hands on my skin. “Are you sure?” he asks in between kisses.

I just nod frantically. “I need to feel your touch.”

He groans as he palms my breast, his fingertips finding my nipple, teasing it as he kisses me senseless.

My hands find his hair, tangling and pulling as desire swirls in my stomach. I feel like I’m burning up, like the spark between us has exploded, now a raging wildfire.

Miles uses his knee to push my legs open and settles his leg between mine. “Use me,” he says, his fingers pinching my nipple. My mouth falls open and my hips jerk involuntarily, leaving me grinding against his thigh. “Use me, princess, and let me watch as you fall apart.”

His words send heat searing through my body, all of it directed between my legs. I don’t hesitate to roll my hips again, grinding against him shamelessly as he pulls my shirt down and frees me from my plain black bra. His eyes go dark before he cranes his neck, his lips closing around my nipple.

I moan blatantly as my senses overwhelm me. The feeling of his tongue circling my nipple as I continue to grind against his legyanking me to the edge. My breathing quickens as I close my eyes, a deep thud reverberating through the space as my head hits the wall.

Nothing has ever felt so all-consuming in my life, nothing except this man.

I lose any sense of rhythm as he brings his face back up to meet mine, one of his hands gripping my ass, pushing me further into him as his eyes stare into mine.

“God, I’ve missed how you look like this.” His words pull a whimper from the back of my throat, and he chuckles with pride. “All needy and undone.”

His grip on my hip tightens, his fingers digging into my glutes as he brings me closer and closer to my undoing. His thumb pulls on my bottom lip before his mouth finds the sensitive spot on my neck, sucking down as I lose all control of my movements.

I can barely scream before an earth-shattering orgasm crashes over me, leaving my legs shaky where they stand on either side of his.

Reality washes over me, but I don’t feel even a hint of regret, only a deep sense of longing for the man in front of me. This doesn’t feel like a mistake. Miles feels like home, he has since the day we met.

I’m panting with my head back against the wall as he chuckles, carefully tucking me back into my bra and fixing my shirt. “Please tell me that was my sign.”

I can’t help but laugh. “That was your sign.”

I open my eyes to see his still heavy with desire. “What’s your favorite color?” he asks.

“It’s still red, why?”

“Just had to make sure your answer hadn’t changed before I fuck you.” And then he hits the emergency button, jolting the elevator back to life.
