“For now, it is. When you poke around a little more, it’ll become clearer.” Noah squeezed Alé’s shoulder. “Good work. Now, get me info on the other two.”

“On it,” Alé said, beginning the process again.

Noah stopped behind Alex. “What are you two looking into?”

“Financials,” Eito said.

“Loans and such,” Alex added. “If there’s anything there, we’ll find it.”

“You talking about loan sharks?” Noah cocked a brow.

“Or favors,” Alex replied.

“Or multiples of transactions on specific days from specific accounts. You know, dirty shit you don’t want anyone finding.” Eito grinned.

“Good. It looks like the three of you have a handle on this. Where is Jacolbi?”

“He’s helping Bronx.”

“Good, she’s going to need his skills to put Bex’s leg back together.” Noah glanced at his watch. “Shit, I have to get back to the school.”

"Tell Mateo Bex is safe. Don't bring him here though. It might make things a little weird," Alé said. "As it is, I hope whatever Rae gave her, she won't wake up until the morning."

"Roger that." Noah strode to the door. "You did good today, guys. You stepped up and you accomplished part of your mission. But we're not done yet. Asher will keep me posted on Bex's status, however, if you find anything else, don't hesitate to call or email me what you find."

“You can count on it,” Alex said. “Kind of feels good doing something righteous for a change.”

Noah smirked. “Bet it does kid. I’m out.”

Alé lifted his hand then glanced at Alex and Eito. “You heard him. Back to work.”

“I heard Bronx mention a pot of coffee, I’m going to need it,” Eito said, without looking up from his computer.

“I’m making it now,” Jamie replied. “I agree with Noah. I’m proud of you boys, and Bronx. You have all exceeded my expectations. You should also be proud of yourself. Now, let’s all make sure Bex is protected from now on.”

Alé smirked, pride welling within him. “You got it, pops.”
