“I can. But that is what this mad dash of courier jobs has been. Spending enough time in my own head to understand what I want. I am willing to let him earn my attention now.” Bailey smiled.

“What about the scarring?”

“When you really match one of them and a genetic exchange has been created, their ridiculous healing abilities become yours. This scar tissue will be gone in under a month. Unlike your stunning capabilities, he’s gonna have to work to get inside me.”

Sage laughed. “I hadn’t thought about that. The Temple tries to prepare you for probable assignments, and mine was always going to be an overseer, so I was trained accordingly. I can hook you up with the trainer if you like.”

“Sure. If they haven’t beat us there. This baby is fast, but a warship is faster, and Zell is pulling out all the stops.”

“How do you know?”

“I put monitors in the control room of Zell’s station. I am nosey.” Bailey chuckled. “Symo has been telling him to get his head out of his ass. His words, not mine. He touched the mind of a lot of Terrans to come up with that gem.”

“So, you aren’t afraid of him.”

“Nope. I am not. That was never the issue. I am afraid of letting him in and him filling up all the parts that I have been using for rage and revenge.”

“I don’t understand.”

“You don’t need to.” Bailey smiled.

Sage looked at her and shook her head. “So, how much longer are you going to show the stars your junk?”

“Another hour and a half. The suit will call me when it’s ready. So, how does one relax when having sex with a Hmrain?”

“There is a lot of meditation but even more focusing on howyoufeel in the moment. Keep going until it stops feeling good then continue when it does again. Before you know it, you will have squirmed right down onto that cone.”

Bailey laughed. “Right. I forgot about that. Did you know that the human penis is designed for females who have multiple partners? The shape of the head scoops out the semen of the previous male. The overseers don’t need it because... well, I don’t know of any species who would try it.”

They chatted about random things until Bailey was ready to get back in her suit again.

They ate, they slept, and then the world of the Temple loomed.

It was time to get Sage back with family.

The matron said, “Clearance granted, but swing wide of the station. There’s a Zellic warship there.”

Bailey smiled. “Are any of the occupants on the surface?”

“No, but we are under strict orders to tell them when you arrive.”

Sage asked, “How strict?”

“When you two set foot in the Temple, they are to be notified.”

“So, the guesthouse is up for grabs?” Sage smiled.

The matron chuckled. “You read my mind. Coordinates on the way.”

Bailey got the coordinates and flipped a switch. “There they are.”

Sage blinked. “What?”

“Symo’s ship has a concealment field. Nebel built it. This one has the same. We have been flying incognito. So, I just have to avoid him, and we should be good.”

Their ship changed course and moved below the invisible vessel. Bailey muttered, “And now we hit the brakes.”

Sage held on and muttered. “Why?”
