Ryder and Finn came in, now cleaned of cum and saliva. I was in the middle of the bed, so Ryder laid down next to me on one side, but Finn straddled me and giggled.

“That wassomuch fun, Daddy! Thank you!”

I chuckled and ran my hands along his sides. “You’re welcome, Precious.” I rolled my head to face Ryder, who looked at me with dreamy and dazed eyes. “And how do you feel?”

“Perfect. Dead… you slayed me, sir, and I loved every minute of it.”

I reached over and kissed his head. “It was my pleasure.”

Finn fell off me and snuggled into my side as Ryder did the same. I wrapped my arms around them, and both boys quickly dozed off. I lay there, awake, wondering how I had gotten so lucky.

Never had I been with a man until Finn, but he found me and turned me to a world I never expected. Then, he and I fell in love with another man who was just as special. I didn’t know what I’d done to deserve to find such love, but I accepted it, nonetheless. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ryder and Finn were mine, and I was theirs for as long as they would have me. I wished I could offer them marriage, but society didn’t see us as a valid relationship. I just needed to make their lives as happy as humanly possible.

“Are you sure you want to move in with these men so quickly?” Emma asked as she taped up a box for me.

“Definitely. Yeah, it all happened fast, but I love them. They healed me in ways you can’t even imagine.”

“Okay, if you’re sure. We’re going to miss you around here.”

I pulled the smaller woman into a hug. “I’m going to miss y’all, too.”

“Especially me!” Atlas said, falling onto my mattress and stretching out like a cat. Well, it wasn’t mine anymore. It belonged to the complex.

“Yes, especially you, At.”

“I’m texting you some links, Rye. It will have some meditation techniques and music to go with it. Use it when you feel that grief coming on again,” Luna said, punching away at her phone.

“Thanks, I will.”

She’d been pushing me to learn how to relax my mind, and I found it surprisingly helpful when I could clear my head, especially when those twinges of grief hit me. Knox had also set me up with a therapist, who also helped a lot.

I taped up the last box and looked around. “Wow, I have so little to show for living here for over a year.”

Emma stood next to me and looked around. “Very sparse. I hope when you move into the other house, you put a piece of yourself in it and not have your space look so temporary.”

“That’s what I want. For the longest time, I just felt so temporary, you know? Like I wasn’t sure if I was going to stay in the city, move on to somewhere else, or eventually go back home. Running from grief clearly wasn’t the way to go.”

“You did what you could to get through it, Rye,” Luna said. “There’s no wrong way to grieve.”

I spread my arms out. “Come here.” Atlas stood, and everyone gathered around me as we held each other. “Stay in touch.”

“The same goes for you,” Atlas said.

A knock sounded behind me, and I turned to find Finn leaning against the doorjamb, smiling at me. Knox stood behind him with a hand resting on Finn’s shoulder.

“Ready?” Knox asked.

“I am.”
