“No, the fuck you ain’t. Kosha and Chrome deserve to get married no matter how much you hate marriage.”
“I don’t hate marriage, Ma. I just don’t think a muthafucka can love you that much to want to be soul tied to yo’ ass like that. Yeah, I can ask for a wife but is my wife gon’ ride for a nigga the way I would her?”
“Maybe stop playing pussy and take the risk.” She threw a wink in my direction and walked into her closet. That was her subtly saying she could hold me down and her position.
I followed behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. Onyx didn’t ask for much. She spoiled me if anything and always made time for a nigga. I was grateful to have a chick who had more to give than head and pussy.
“That’s what you want?” I questioned.
“Who doesn’t want to be a wife, Nahmari? Look, we ain’t even ‘bout to go down that road tonight. Our friends are getting married tomorrow and that’s all we need to focus on. Help me with my anklet and we can head out.”
Placing a kiss on her cheek, I unraveled my arms and bent down to strap her anklet. Any jewelry she put on her body was blinding. I mean the diamonds were bright enough to light up a room. Her jewelry alone could support a muthafucka for a few years. Although she was hood as fuck, my baby still had class. Her taste in the shit she wore, resided in, and drove showed the kind of woman she was.
Standing, I grabbed her by the hand, and we headed out the crib as one. Onyx had this thing where she wanted me with her until the very last second. I ain’t mind being with her ass either. Hell, she was a nigga peace.
We were in the parking deck moments later with us strolling up to her car. Opening her door, she climbed in and instantlywent to fumbling with the lil’ shit she had in her cup holder. Onyx was a woman who was easily distracted.
“Come on, Ma. I got to go.”
“I’m sorry, baby, but I had to make sure my iPod was still in the car.”
My face was bunched up so fast. I knew good and doggone well I didn’t hear her say no fuck ass iPod. Sure enough, she lifted it up and I chuckled seeing it. She could be adorable as fuck sometimes.
“The fuck you using a goddamn iPod for when you got a phone?”
“Because I don’t want interruptions when I play music. You act like it’s outdated or something. The last one was made a few years ago. Come here and give me kisses so we both can go.”
Leaning in, my lips met hers and we exchanged something I’d become fond of. Kissing wasn’t my thing because it was too intimate, and you didn’t know what anyone’s mouth did. However, I knew exactly where the fuck hers been.Soft as fuck.My baby had the kind of kisses that caused you to lose focus momentarily and drown in her. She pulled back when she noticed a nigga was getting into it more.
“Unt-unh! Back up,” she said pushing me gently. She pulled her door shut and I still wore that goofy ass smile that graced my face anytime she was around.
“Hit me when you decide on what you trying to do. I’ll come to wherever you trying to lay yo’ head at.”
“I will. Have fun and respect me, nigga.”
“I always do. I know what I got,” I said returning the wink she gave me earlier. “I love you.”
“I love you, too, Nahmari.” She crunk her car up as I took a few steps back. She pulled out leaving me standing there alone.
Shaking my head from left to right, I watched her drive off. The way I was acting behind Onyx, I knew I was in love. Neverhad a bitch had me so goddamn open and ready to live in her fuckin’ skin the way she did. That woman could do no wrong in my eyes.
I was finally opening the door to my shit moments later. I hopped in ready for a night of bullshit. The crew never knew how to act when we all got together. The girls were worse than the fellas sometimes. Copper and Goldie damn sure knew how to party harder. I followed behind my woman and hit the main road.
Chrome was called as soon as I got comfortable. He answered with music playing in the back. He was either in the car with someone else or at the crib getting his shit together.
“Nigga where the fuck you at? You said be ready at seven, right?”
“I’m on the way. I got caught up in something.”
“Yeah, Fade ain’t ‘bout to be the only one pregnant.”
“Cut that shit the fuck out. We ain’t even on that type of timing for real. We just having fun out this muthafucka. Aye, be ready. I’m responsible for getting yo’ Black ass home on time and down the fuckin’ aisle in the morning.”
“You ain’t got to get me home or down the aisle, bitch. My family make all that possible. We at the clubhouse and ready to go. Bring yo’ ass.” He hung up and I tossed my phone in the cupholder.
Onyx lived downtown where she was legit at the max twenty minutes from everybody. It wouldn’t take me no time to get to them. I turned my music up and bumped a local artist named Solace. He was from another hood but still hood nonetheless and popping his shit every track he blessed. I fucked with his music and grind. He was hustling and that was all you could do in the Lake to get the fuck out.
It took me little to no time to pull up at the clubhouse and reunite with the crew. Like I suspected, they were dressed inall black looking like a unit. I smirked and stepped out greeting everyone in attendance. We didn’t linger around too much ‘cause everyone was ready to party, of course. Chrome hopped in the whip with me while everyone else piled up elsewhere.
