“Not yet.” Tessa’s head spun. She had a lot of work to do to pull off this wedding. She wanted it to be perfect. Her union with Benson may not have been what she’d had in mind for a future husband, but she could at least plan the wedding she’d dreamed of. She just hoped she had enough time to get everything pulled together.

“You need to get on that pronto. July is vacation time, and a lot of them won’t be available. You’ll need to get all their sizes for their dresses. Onyx is going to want all that information.”

Tessa was beginning to feel overwhelmed. It wasn’t like she could rely on her mom to help her either. She had enough stress on her just trying to make it from one day to the next.

“What about you, Benson?” Aubrey asked. “Have you chosen your groomsmen?”

“Nope. Do we have to have those?” he asked. He wasn’t sure they’d have time to drop everything and show up for his wedding.

“Yes,” Tessa said. “We have to have them. It’s important to me. Just ask your buddies from school. Chase and Owen should do it. Kane, too. They’d want to be there for your big day. You were there for them.”

“I guess you’re right.”

“I’ll probably ask Lauren and Alexis and Carrington. And Sariah to be my maid of honor.”

“I’ll probably have Kane be my best man.”

“You don’t think that would be weird?” Tessa asked.

“Oh, yeah,” Aubrey said. “That could be weird. Didn’t they used to date?”

“That was a long time ago,” Benson said. “And Kane’s married now.”

“I guess you’re right,” Aubrey said. “They’ve most likely both moved on.”

“Probably,” Benson said.

“I feel bad, not being able to have the Whitmore House available for you. I’m going to call Carrington right now and see if she has any availability. I’ll be right back.” Aubrey disappeared back to her table a few booths down.

Their server came with their drinks and took their orders.

When he left, Tessa turned to Benson. “When do you think Alexis and Owen will be back from Tahiti?”

“I think I saw on his social media profile that they’re going to be back next week.”

“Tahiti sounds nice.”

“Do you have a passport?” Benson asked.

“I do. I went to Paris with Sariah a couple of years ago.”

“Perfect. That means we can take our honeymoon somewhere outside the U.S.”

“I’d love something tropical.”

“What about the Caribbean?” Benson asked.

“Mmm. Yes. That sounds amazing.” Tessa blushed. She couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be in such a romantic, exotic location with Benson walking around shirtless. It sounded like paradise and torture all rolled into one. How was she supposed to keep her hands off him in a situation like that? All this romantic stuff was tougher than she’d envisioned.

“Did you tell your coach that you got engaged?” Tessa asked.

“I did. I called him this morning.”

“What did he say?”

“He told me I could keep my spot on the team as long as I went through with the marriage. That’s assuming my behavior stays good.”

“Your behavior better stay good,” Tessa scolded. “I’m not going through with all this just so you can spin donuts in some other park.”
