“I’m willing to go there if it means I can become healthier,” Jackson said.
“You need to see that you aren’t at fault.”
“How can I face Tyson’s parents after what I’ve done? I took their son away.”
“No. You were there when their son died. That’s something different,” his dad pointed out.
“But then I didn’t tell them for a lot of years. They probably would have wanted to know. Sully seemed upset about that too.”
“Then apologize to her for keeping it inside. You can’t change the past, but you can do all you can to make things right in the future.”
That thought gave him hope, and he resolved to talk to Sully and make things better. But would she be willing to forgive him?
