“Oh, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Chermain.” Lucas stepped forward and shook her hand. He had never heard of the woman before, so he had no idea why she was so interested in him.

“I was told that you helped teach and train Alexis and Jake with their performance here tonight.”

Lucas’s cheeks flushed. He wasn’t sure if Ms. Chermain was going to give him a compliment or a scolding.

“Well, yes, I…”

“I loved it!” the woman said, clapping her hands on her knees and bending over all excited. “I also saw that YouTube video of you singing in the bar and can’t believe you aren’t on Broadway.”

A huge smile spread across Lucas’s face when he realized that she was a fan and not the talent police, come to arrest him for crimes against dance and music.

“Well, thank you! I went to college to study musical theater and love to perform.”

“Well, that’s exactly why I’m here.”

Lucas looked up at Caden, who had his arm around his waist, being the amazing supporting boyfriend he always was.

“I’d like to put together a performing arts program for the town. Dance, theater, painting. And I was hoping that I could hire you to design and teach the dance and theater programs. It would just be part-time at the beginning until we determine if there’s an interest in the programs, but so far, everyone I havetalked to would be thrilled to place their child in a program designed and taught by you!”

Lucas’s mouth fell open. Was she being for real?

“Seriously? Me? But… I…”

“But nothing. You are majorly talented, and we have all seen your moves online,” Marcus cut in. “I’ve already spoken with Ms. Chermain, and it sounds like the program would not interfere with your job at the bar. Plus, I was going to switch up your duties anyway. You’ve proven that you are good at thinking on your feet, so I want to use your talents forotherthings,” Marcus explained.

Wow, the opportunity to design and teach a program that he loved? It was a perfect opportunity.

“I think you should do it, babe,” Cade said beside him, tightening his grip on his waist. “You love to sing and dance, plus the kids love you, and you know that Lizzy would be the first to sign up for your classes.”

He was right. It sounded like an amazing opportunity, plus he could still keep working at the bar with Cade and all his friends as well. Lucas didn’t want to admit it, but he loved working with Cade and being so close to him every single day.

Lucas smiled and stuck out his hand.

“I’d love to, Ms. Chermain.”

With that, Marcus and Ms. Chermain walked away, heading toward the bride and groom to join them in a few shots, no doubt. In this town, even the director of social planning was always willing to get down for a good time.

“Shall we dance?” Caden asked, holding out his hand and waiting for Lucas to take it.

“What? Seriously?” Lucas asked, shocked by the man’s request. “Whatever happened to you having balls and stuff?”

Caden chuckled. “Oh, I still have those. They’ve just decided to make a deal with my heart that if they allow me to participatein this most romantic of acts, they will get to spend the night balls deep in that ass of yours. Of course, my heart accepted the deal.”

“Of course it did,” Lucas answered with a chuckle of his own. While Caden liked to play all tough and macho on the outside, on the inside, he was all gooey and loveable. Somehow, Lucas had found that rough and possessive man, who fucked like a stallion, but also had a heart of gold.

Yes, his fantasy man really did exist. He just had to date an evil monster first to find him.

Taking Caden’s hand, he led the love of his life to the section of the park where everyone was dancing. They slid in next to Ace, who was dancing with Bobby, of all people.

“Please tell me that this isn’t a thing now,” Lucas asked Ace and Bobby.

Ace rolled his eyes.

“Not a chance. Ace is just using me to make some dude jealous, but he won’t tell me who. My money’s on Biker Daddy over there,” Bobby answered, nodding over to where an older gentleman in his late fifties was standing next to a tree, holding a beer.

Lucas shook his head. He highly doubted that man was who Ace was trying to make jealous. Ace was a pretty confident guy. If he really wanted that man, he would have simply walked up to him and asked him.

No, Ace was trying to make someone else jealous who he was afraid to approach. Someone he wasn’t sure might be interested in him… Someone like…
