Chapter 14
Jackson
Standing in the shower, letting the warm water run over my head, I tried to make sense of what had just happened. We must’ve been asleep, dreaming, and Sebastian was acting out his dream. It was an accident. But holy fucking shit did that accident feel good. I was still hard just thinking about his hard cock pushed into against my ass through my sweats. I’d never slept in the same bed with another man. I’d never even made out with another man. I know. I was twenty-four years old, and I’d never been kissed, let alone felt up the way Sebastian had felt me up. I may have been a virgin, but I knew what I liked.Sebastian Moore fucking felt me up.My brain was officially broken.
I grabbed my cock, stroking and twisting it thinking about Sebastian’s hand on me. The way he grabbed me and stroked me. The way his cock pressed up into me. The way I bucked my hips to match his thrusts and strokes. A gasp left me as I shuddered in the shower and spilled cum into the drain. I barely kept quiet.
When I got out of the shower, I wrapped a towel around me and slowly opened the door. “Sebastian?…” There was no answer. I looked around the room. He was gone.Great,I thought. I got dressed and laid back down. No matter what, I needed to sleep. I didn’t know when he would be back, so I laid down and tried to shut my brain off from everything that had just happened. I landed on a channel playing aTwilight Zonemarathon. The perfect show to get me to sleep. Before I knew it, I was dreaming again.
It felt like my subconscious was playing tricks on me because I dreamt of Sebastian, but nothing sexual. We were walking in a city, each of us holding a coffee and smiling at each other. Neither of us said anything in the dream. I turned to look at him and he leaned into me and put his hand up to my face to hold it. Just before he was going to kiss me, I woke up.
I was staring at the ceiling and turned my head left to see if Sebastian was asleep, but he wasn’t there. The bed was still empty. The clock said it was seven o’clock. I hadn’t felt like I’d been asleep that long.Where was he?I asked myself. I sat up and jumped when I saw him sitting in the chair in the corner. “Holy shit, Sebastian. You scared the fuck out of me.” He didn’t say anything. “Are you ok? What are you doing?”
He leaned forward placing his elbows on his knees, his fingers interlocked with each other. “You sleep so peacefully. Do you know that? You didn’t snore once. Everyone snores a little bit, but not you.”
It was sweet but unexpected, so I said, “Um, okay. Did you sleep?”
He shook his head. “No. You were asleep when I got back so I’ve just been sitting here. Jackson, I’m sorry. That shouldn’t have happened. That can’t happen again.”
I sat all the way up so my back was against the headboard. “Yeah…I mean, of course not. We work together. We were asleep. It was an accident. Honest mistake. I get it.”
“Do you? I can’t fool around with an employee. I would never take advantage of you that way.” He was so serious.
I was annoyed. “Look. You’re not taking advantage of me. We’re both grown. In fact, we don’t even need to talk about it anymore. I think we should just get dressed and go eat. Then we can head back to the car.” I got out of bed, swooped up my clothes and took them to the bathroom. Standing in front of the mirror, I just looked at myself. I was an idiot to think he meant to do any of that. That he would think of me inthatway. Shaking my head, I changed back into the clothes I had on the day before.Don’t be stupid, Jackson.I thought to myself. Someone like Sebastian could have anyone.
We went downstairs and ate in silence. Then, we grabbed a coffee and went outside to meet the taxi driver. The car was miraculously in one piece when we got back to it. We rode with the tow truck driver back to the mechanics garage and then got a taxi home. The car would get worked on and Sebastian got us a rental for the meantime.

We’d been tiptoeing around each other at the house and at work. I still rode to work with him and home with him, but we didn’t speak. He would leave once he dropped me off at home. I ate dinner alone every night. It was fine. He didn’t owe me anything, but it was weird.
I heard a knock at the door, so I got out of bed and went downstairs. Before I reached the bottom of the stairs, I heard, “Bash! It’s Quinny!”
“Hey Quinn. He’s not here.” I said flatly.
She looked at me with raised eyebrows. “What’s wrong? You said that soooo…. I don’t know… Bla.”
I shrugged. “Nothing. He’s just been gone a lot. Not my business but will you check on him?” I turned and went to the kitchen.
Following behind me, she said, “Of course. I’ll see what’s up. Listen, Thanksgiving is next week, and we need to nail things down. I’m assuming you’ll still be here?”
“Yeah, I mean, I don’t have any plans to leave next week. I would eventually like to get my own place, but I don’t see that happening next week.” I turned to grab two glasses out of the cabinet to get some water.
“So, why is he being weird? Something happened?”
“No. I don’t know. He’s just been gone a lot. Maybe he’s seeing someone. Whatever. Again, not my business.” I poured Quinn a glass of water. She always wants a glass of water when she stops by. I poured myself a glass, too.
“You think Bash is seeing someone? Does that bother you if he is?” She took a sip of water to hide her smirk.
I laughed loudly. “Quinn, be serious. He can do whatever he wants. We aren’t married. We aren’t even dating. I’m just staying here. Heletsme stay here. That’s it. He can see who he wants. Doesn’t matter what I think.” I was rambling.Shut up, idiot.I screamed to myself internally.
“Rrrriiiight. Okay. So now that we’ve established that you’re just living here…” She laughed, “…you like my brother.”
I gasped. “Quinn. No.Thatwould be soooo inappropriate. He’s… my boss.”
“Ian is your boss. Bash is…someone you’re living with and have feelings for.”
Suddenly we heard someone clear their throat. Quinn and I looked up and Sebastian was standing in the doorway with his hands in his pockets. “Who do you have feelings for?” He lookedat me, his head tilted to the side, and I almost fucking came in my pants with that one look.
