Licking my lips, I turn back to face my omega. "What my princess wants, she gets." Then I strike.
She cries out as my teeth pierce the skin right over her heart, the coppery tang of blood hitting my tongue, and I pull back, running my teeth over the mark. Our connection snaps into place, and it's like my whole world shifts on its axis. Staring into her deep green eyes, I canfeelthe way she loves me. How she would do anything to make sure I never feel alone again. How determined she is to be the best omega for us.
"I fucking love you," I groan, before claiming her mouth with mine, the bond lighting up with her answering love.
I could get used to this.
Chapter 41
Hannah
My eyes blink open, the warm press of bodies around me making me feel relaxed and heavy. The nest is dark, and I try to mentally calculate what day it is. My body feels worn and well used, but there's a slight buzz under my skin that tells me I'm not out of the woods yet.
A thread of awareness tingles in the back of my mind, and my eyes are immediately drawn to Noah, who's resting peacefully next to me. His mark is a little red and angry, and I know I need to tend to it to help it heal.
Ibithim.
I was running on pure instinct when it happened, and while I regret that I didn't let us have it be this special, intimate moment, I can't bring myself to regret the fact that I can send him a little wave of love in this moment.
"Woah." his eyes flutter open, his gaze landing on me. "That was…weird. But in the best way."
"Sorry," I whisper, cuddling into his side and lifting my face to run my tongue over his new bond mark. "I didn't mean to wake you."
"How are you feeling?" He's just as quiet, wrapping an arm around me. "You don't feel as hot as you did, but you're still pretty warm."
"I think I'll be clear for a little, but I don't think we're done yet," I tell him, running a finger over the spiderweb tattoo on his neck, making him shiver.
"You awake, darlin'?" Austin says groggily, sitting up. He looks so handsome with sleep rumpled hair. I want to trace a path through his freckles. With my tongue.
"Mhm," I run my tongue over Noah's mark again, and his fingers tighten on my hips.
"You gotta eat somethin', love. It's been three days."
I sit up with a snap. "Three days?" How the hell had it been so long already? I mean, I remember bits and pieces, but it's all a bit hazy after I bit Noah.
Austin nods, getting off the bed and grabbing a bottled protein shake and a bottle of water. The protein shake is labelled "heat helper", which is the brand that the heat clinic uses, specially formulated with nutrients and electrolytes to keep omegas hydrated during heat. I wrinkle my nose at it. At least it's the dark chocolate flavor and not the strawberry one the clinic stocks.
I down half the water bottle first, then twist the cap off the protein shake. It's not that bad, actually. "There's a good omega," Enzo rumbles, his hand soothing down my back, and my omega preens under his attention.
"So…I bonded Noah," I swallow, looking around at my alphas. "Where's Charlie?" I frown. My question is immediately answered by him walking out of my bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.
Oh. A shower soundsreallygood right now.
"We noticed," Enzo's eyes crinkle slightly as he smiles. "We're so happy for you two, reinita."
I return his smile. "Thank you. I want to bond with the rest of you too, but I don't want to be lost in the heat haze when it happens. I also really want a shower."
There's dried cum and slick everywhere, and that shit isnotcomfortable.
"What are you worried about princess?" Noah asks, frowning. "I can feel your hesitance in the bond."
"I just don't want to run out of time…but, I reallyreallyneed a shower."
"Get a shower then, mags," Charlie pipes up, using the towel to wipe off the rest of his body. My eyes catch on his magpie tattoo for the hundredth time, and warmth unfurls in my stomach. "The rest of the guys can catch one too, I'll change out the sheets of the nest, and when you get back we can bond." he gives me a gentle smile. "How does that sound?"
"What if I get lost in the haze before I can bond everyone?" I frown, shifting uncomfortably in the stickiness.
"Then we'll wait until you're lucid again," Enzo says. "As long as we do it right at the tail-end of your heat, then the marks should still heal faster than if we did it outside of your heat."
