"Kieran!" I cry, running over and wrapping my arms around him in a hug. "What are you doing here? And why were you behind a tree?"
"Hey Banana," Kieran says softly. His hair, which he bleaches white-blonde, reaches his ears but it falls into his face as he presses a kiss to my head. He looks up to my pack. "Oh, so this is the pack I've heard absolutely nothing about."
My cheeks heat and I pull away guiltily. I haven't been a very good sister. "Don't worry, mags, I filled him in." Charlie shoots me a wink and Kieran lets out a fake shudder.
"Yeah, that's weird." I roll my eyes. Kieran was the one who told me we needed to get our shit together, and then he acts like we have cooties when we do.
All my alphas introduce themselves to my brother, and he looks at them with wide eyes. "You guys are a bunch of big fuckers aren't you?"
Enzo chuckles. "You're not really tiny yourself."
Kieran frowns, looking down at himself. "Yeah, I suppose I'm not."
Brody is the last to shake his hand. "I'm Brody Benson, we spoke on the phone. Thanks for coming, it's nice to meet you in person."
"You're going to testify?" My brows shoot up.
"Of course I am," Kieran says, ruffling my hair. "I'll tell them all about how you and Nana would beg them to play scrabble with you and they poked fun at you for playing with an old lady."
That startles a laugh out of me. "Oh my gods. I forgot all about that." My eyes narrow. "You never told me why you were hiding behind that tree."
"Well," Kieran sticks his hands in his pockets, "I was on my way to find you when I saw Cat approach. I decided to wait to see what she had to say, and…"
"What?" Brody asks hesitantly.
"Would it help if I told you I video recorded the entire conversation?"
Chapter 45

The judg e isn't happy that we're presenting new evidence after the recess.
Neither is the prosecution.
"Your Honor, this evidence wasn't submitted in discovery." Niles is spitting mad, his face and a little vein popping out of his forehead.
"That's because it was left on our doorstep this morning, and our resident computer genius was looking through it to see what it was. He found out there's evidence in support of our cause." Brody is quick to jump in. He's really selling the story that it was given anonymously.
"And you have no idea where it came from?" The judge asks, looking over his glasses. "Who is the alpha that discovered it?"
"That would be me, Your Honor." Noah raises his hand and stands.
Judge Doyle sighs. "Approach the bench, please." Noah does, and then the judge looks him up and down. "What time was this left?"
"I discovered it right when I was about to leave for the courthouse. About eight fifteen." Woah. Noah could've been an actor.
"Is there any surveillance in place at your house?"
"Yes, actually. I have video footage of someone leaving it in an envelope on our doorstep, but they're wearing a mask and they approach on foot, so there's no license plate to track."
"Do you have any idea ofwhysomeone would just drop key evidence on your doorstep?" He asks, raising a brow.
"Your Honor, I believe that you'll be able to draw your own conclusions on that once you see the evidence for yourself."
"I see." Judge Doyle rubs the bridge of his nose. "We will adjourn for today, review the evidence to determine if it will be submitted, and we will reconvene tomorrow at nine in the morning."
"Oh, also, Your Honor," Brody interrupts, "we'd also like to submit a video taken during recess today as evidence."
