A knock to the open door startled her before Derrick asked, “You guys hungry?”

“Fuck off,” Kevin shouted, looking over his shoulder to toss a pillow at Derrick.

Kara laughed and sighed. The moment was ruined, but she had felt it clearly. There were feelings there. He was feeling it too. She wasn’t alone in her fall for him.

Kara spent the rest of the weekend in a blissed-out state. Her boys spent the time at her house, supplying her with orgasm after orgasm. She had never been so happy in her life or as satiated. They kept her well fed and relaxed in bed most of the weekend, watching movies when they weren’t fucking her senseless.

Kara couldn’t remember the last time she felt so relaxed. By the time Sunday evening came around, Kara felt like crying when her boys said they had to go. “You should get a good night’s sleep before Monday,” Kevin tried to reason. “And our charter from Cali will be here this evening. We need to be there to greet them, Johnny especially.”

Kara pouted. “You really think I’ll be able to sleep alone after one of you has been sleeping with me the last several weeks?” She raised an eyebrow at them. She understood they needed to leave; they had responsibilities. She would still miss them in her bed, though.

Johnny smirked and looked up from the boots he was lacing up. “Pretty pout on a pretty Princess,” he commented.

“Would look prettier on a penis,” she continued with a smirk of her own.

“Sure does,” Johnny countered back immediately. “I’ll just have to remember all the times I fucked those pretty lips until I can fuck them again.”

Kara frowned. She didn’t like they were making light of this. “Johnny.” She leveled a stare at him, though she was sure it wasn’t as effective as it could be because she felt tears welling in her eyes.

He frowned when he looked up at her. He stood up from the chair he’d been sitting in and reached for her. She went easily and buried her face in his chest. She didn’t know why the thought of them leaving made her so upset. She’d never minded being alone before now.

She may have never realized just howlonelyshe had been before them, though. Or how empty her house felt when it was just her. She sniffled into his shirt, and he held her tighter. “Shh,” he muttered. “It’s not forever. We’ll see you this week at the office.”God, he’s just a giant teddy bear when he wants to be.

The front door suddenly swung open and Derrick called out, “Yo Mayhem, Rockstar, we leaving?” His boots were heavy on her hardwood floors as he headed into the kitchen. “Oh shit,” he muttered when he took in Kara in Johnny’s arms.

Johnny’s hand rubbed down her back.

“What’s the matter, baby girl?” Derrick asked and moved closer.

Kara shrugged. She really didn’t want to answer, afraid she would start sobbing. Tears ran silently down her cheeks, and she didn’t know why she was so upset.

She just had a bad feeling in her chest that this would be the last time they would all be together like this.

She wiped her eyes and pulled away. She leaned up and pressed a kiss to the underside of Johnny’s jaw, right in his beard. “Go, I’ll see you guys this week,” she said, sounding stronger than she felt. She gave Kevin and Derrick brief hugs, unable to meet their eyes, before she quickly left the kitchen and went back to her bedroom.

She didn’t need to watch them leave.

She climbed under the messy sheets and blankets and buried her face into a pillow that smelled like Derrick. A few minutes later she heard the rumble of their Harleys start up. She let the tears fall as she prayed like hell that she was wrong about the feeling in her gut.

She wasn’t usually wrong, though.

Kara’sweekdragged.Mondayhad been horrible. She hadn’t slept much the night before, despite how tired and sore she had been from her weekend ofextra-curricular activities. She had been stuck in back-to-back meetings throughout the day and hadn’t been able to check her phone.

So when she finally had a chance, she was extra disappointed by the lonely text from Kevin that explained they were hosting a fight at the clubhouse that night and would not be able to come by her place.

Annoyed by the single text and lack of invitation to join them at the clubhouse, she had fired off a quickOKand let it go.

The boys hadn’t been on the jobsite all week, though their crew was still there. Derrick had texted the group chat on Tuesday to say they were tied up with their out-of-state guests and would not be in that week. There was no other explanation.

When she didn’t hear from them that evening, she went to bed pissed off.

Wednesday she tried to brush off her bad mood. She reached out to their group chat to check in, in the morning. She sent a simple text: “Morning, hope you guys have a wonderful day!” It went unread and unanswered all day.

When she got home that night, she had to fight the tears as she ate dinner alone. She didn’t understand why they weren’t responding to her. She knew she wasn’t being clingy, but she couldn’t help but have doubts.

Doubts about all of it. After a weekend sex-a-thon, were they done with her? Did they have their fill, and were they ready to move on? Was she just another whore to them? The last one really got to her. They had never made her feel dirty while they were fucking her, but there had been no grand declarations of love either.

She’d had that moment with Kevin… That was another thing that bothered her. Kevin usually called her in the evenings to check in when he was away for club business. But there hadn’t been a peep from him either.
