He slid his hand up her side and cupped the back of her neck. His fingers dug in as he held her to him and poured his love and fear into that kiss. She closed her eyes and moaned, opening her mouth to meet his passion.

She was breathless when he broke the kiss a while later. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked up at him. The mischievous sparkle had returned to his emerald orbs. “Better?” she asked him.

He gave her a soft smile. “Great,” he answered, grinding his rock-hard cock against her.

She smirked and pulled away. “Let’s pick out furniture and get out of here.”

“Yes, Momma,” Derrick drawled.

Kara shot him a look as she walked away, heading in search of Johnny and Kevin. “No,” she said over her shoulder.

“Baby girl, you don’t tell me no.” Derrick smirked and stalked toward her.

“Don’t useMommain a sexual way then,” she shot back at him.

“No mommy kink. Got it.” Derrick chuckled as he came to stand before her again.

Kara rolled her eyes but gave him a kiss on the corner of his mouth. “Let’s go pick a crib and dresser set.”

Derrick nodded and held her hand as they headed toward the furniture section.

Tuesday’s appointment came faster than Kara thought possible. She left the Carmichael building around four and headed over to the doctor’s office with her boys following behind her on their bikes. They were dying to come with her and ask the doctor a million questions. She only hoped they would behave in the office and not act like fools.

The nurse had given them a funny look when Kara told her the three men would be coming back with her. Thankfully it was a smaller practice, so there weren’t too many people in the waiting room.

“Alright Miss Kara,” Rori, the pretty brunette nurse, said with smile. “Let’s get your weight and blood pressure.” She motioned toward the scale first.

Kara kicked off her black heels and stepped onto the scale in just her stocking feet. Her men fanned out in the room aroundher, making her smile. Johnny stayed near the door in case of an intruder; it was always safety first with him.

Rori caught her smile and chuckled. “They always like that?” She nodded at the men.

Kara smiled and nodded. “Most of the time,” she answered, speaking as if they weren’t in the room.

“Is this a who’s-the-daddy situation?” Rori asked with a nonjudgmental grin on her face.

“It’s none of your business,” Johnny snapped gruffly.

“We’re raising ’em together,” Derrick shot out.

Kara laughed and shook her head. “It’s more of a why-choose situation.” She grinned, stressing thewhy choosepart.

“Aah.” Understanding dawned on Rori’s face. Her chocolate eyes lit up. “Lucky girl.”

“Sure am.” Kara nodded and glanced over her shoulder at her boys. They all beamed back at her with pride, even Johnny’s grumpy ass.

“My sister’s been with four guys for the last five years or so. They have three kids together. They make it work,” Rori said with a laugh. She wrote down Kara’s weight and motioned to the chair.

“Four? Damn.” Kara huffed out a breath as she slipped back into her heels and headed for the chair next to the counter. “I barely can keep up with three.” She laughed as she took a seat and put her arm on the counter.

“Right? My sister calls them her harem.” Rori laughed.

Kara giggled and glanced at her men. They smiled and rolled their eyes at her.

“More power to you ladies, though. Lots to be jealous of over here,” Rori said with a grin. She placed a blood pressure cuff around Kara’s bicep and slid her stethoscope into her ears while placing the end near Kara’s inner elbow.

Kara spent the next several minutes answering medical questions: the date of her last period and other stuff. They spent several minutes going over family medical histories. She was extremely grateful the boys had decided to come after all. She would have had no idea how to answer several of the questions. Apparently she didn’t know her men as well as she’d thought.

The idea left her feeling unsettled. They really hadn’t been dating long, going on almost four months, and somehow, she was pregnant and living with them already. She didn’t know why the thought bothered her.
