And Fox wanted thiswithDane. He was all about sharing, when it came to his brother. He didn’t care if it made them codependent freaks. They were bonded, the devils inside themtwo of a kind, and it wouldn’t work if only one of them got what they wanted. They were a unit. A team. And Dane may have still had his reservations about that fact, but Fox had come to terms with it long ago.
So he’d give his brother a push if he needed it. To give them both what they wanted.
“He was hot as hell, wasn’t he?” he asked, voice low. “Writhing on me like that while you fed on him?”
Dane licked his lips, shifting in place. “He tasted really fucking good.”
There it was. Fox fought the urge to cheer. “The best I’ve ever tasted in my life.” He leaned closer, asking in a whisper, “Think his cum tastes as good as his blood?”
Dane’s head thumped against the back of the couch. “Fuck.”
Fox grinned. “Exactly.”
Dane turned to face him, a frown on his lips. “We freaked him out though.”
“Did we?”
“He literally ran away right after.”
Typical Dane. Stressing. Overthinking. No matter—that was what Fox was there for. He waved a dismissive hand in the air. “Psh. It can be overwhelming, the first time with the two of us. I’m not worried. He’s got moxie.”
Fox wasn’t even bluffing. The kid had waltzed right in the day before like he’d owned the place, setting their house to rights in a flurry of focused activity, ignoring them and their hungry stares except to order them around. It had been annoying as hell and somehow also hot as fuck. Colin wasn’t intimidated by them. One little accidental orgasm wasn’t going to change that.
The sound of a door opening had them both perking up.
And then there was Colin, all long, thin limbs, stomping down the stairs. He paused at the bottom when he spotted themstaring. “Jesus. Don’t you two have anything better to do than watch my every move?”
“Nope.” Fox hopped off the couch, following on Colin’s heels as he made his way into the kitchen. He felt more than heard Dane right behind him. “You gonna start cleaning in here?” he asked.
Colin poured himself a glass of water, avoiding their eyes. He’d done that the night before too. Fox wasn’t a fan. “No. I gotta get going.”
“Going?” Dane stepped out from behind Fox. “Where?”
Colin downed his water before answering, and Fox tried not to get distracted by the rhythmic movement of his slender throat as he did so. The throat that had been so absolutely fucking delicious to bite into. “I’m making my dad lunch. I’ll be going to see him every day.”
“Every day?” Fox hated that idea, some scheduled fuckery that would keep their new pet away from them. “But you’ll be back right after.” It came out as more of a statement than a question. Whoops.
Colin finally looked straight at him, those blue-green eyes not revealing anything other than faint annoyance. “No. I have to drop off a résumé.”
At least Colin was making eye contact again. If Fox had to annoy him to make that happen, then he’d be annoying. “Why do you need to work?” he pressed. “We’re not charging you rent.”
“Rent’s not the only thing that costs money.”
“We have money.”
Colin looked at him like he was the biggest idiot in the world. “Good for you.”
While he had his attention…Fox folded his arms, puffing out his chest just the slightest bit. He’d noticed Colin had trouble tearing his eyes away when they did that. Fox couldn’t blamehim—he and Dane had nothing to be ashamed of, muscles-wise. “You wanna talk about last night?”
Colin turned to dump his glass in the sink. “No.”
The back of his neck was turning pink. Was he blushing? How fucking adorable. “Why?” Fox asked. “You going shy on us?”
“No.” Colin remained turned away, making a big fuss over washing his glass, like the rest of the kitchen wasn’t a filthy mess. “There’s just nothing to talk about. It was a normal reaction to a vampire’s bite.”
“It was hot as fuck was what it was,” Fox told him bluntly. He watched as a little bit of the tension left Colin’s frame at his words.
Had the human been worried theydidn’tthink it was hot as fuck? Not even possible.
