“I need to piss,” my twin groans, dismounting his bike.

“Same, and some snacks; my gut is going to eat itself,” Silas adds his whining.

“Fuck me, I am surrounded by toddlers,” I call out to them but follow, because I have to drain my begging bladder also.

Royal flips me off, making me laugh.

We hit the restrooms and finish up business before we enter the gas station store to load up on crappy food before we get on our way to Gainesville.

My phone beeps in my pocket as the guys pick up subs, and Royal being fucking Royal grabs a gas station hot dog. Man, he will be shitting for days once that gets into his system.

Checking my phone, I see that Maverick has found a new location for the cheeky fucker we are hunting today. This little shit is running from a loan shark, something that people should never fucking do.

“The guy has moved. Mav has tracked him to a motel. So it will be an easy pick up. Get in—he may or may not accidentally fall against the dresser in the room—then ride home, hand himover to the boss man, and we can get onto better things in life,” I state.

The guys look at me then nod.

“By better things in life, you mean a sweet and shy redhead who would give any man a toothache,” Lennox calls out with a smirk on his lips.

I grin at him.

“Did he tell you he is attending her cheating ex’s wedding, where the fucker is marrying her cousin who he cheated on her with?” Royal informs Lennox and Silas.

“Fuck off. For real, man?”

I nod at Silas. “Yeah. Lil came home from work and found him pounding into her cousin. Then told Lilith it was her fault because she fucked like a cadaver.”

“There is a special place in hell for cunts like him,” Lennox growls.

“Damn straight. Her mother is forcing her to go to this farce of a wedding. If you ask me, it is all for show, and I have no doubt that fucker is already cheating on Lil’s cousin.”

“Serves her right for doing the dirty to her cousin.”

I nod in agreement to what my brother says. It took everything in me not to go and hunt the prick down when I was told everything that had happened, and now even more so, knowing that they are forcing my girl to come and watch them get married, with her family sitting there smiling, completely ignoring what they did to her.

Lilith says that her father is nothing like the rest of her family, but I have to be pissed to some extent at him for not stepping up enough to protect his daughter. Giving her money to get her away from them all was not enough, he should make a stand and stop them from forcing Lilith to go to this wedding.

“You ready, brother?” Royal calls to me.

I nod and mount my bike.

We ride to the motel, my head thinking over all the different scenarios that could happen while we take this little shit down. I have to push any thought I carry of Lilith to the back of my mind and focus on getting the shit ton of money back from this guy.

“Lennox, you and Silas go around the back and check for any possible exits. Jack and I will check in with reception to find out which room he is in.”

The guys nod and head off behind the L-shaped building, while I follow behind Royal into the small reception area.

The sweet smell of blueberries hits my senses, and I see a young woman sitting behind the desk, smoking a vape. She is no older than twenty, maybe twenty-one, so I know how my twin will pull the information out of her.

As I think this, he plants one arm on the counter, smirking at the young girl. Her cheeks tint pink, her eyes widen taking him in, then her gaze shifts to me and her cheeks darken.

“Hey, sweetheart. We are looking for our friend. I was hoping you could help us” —he leans in, checking her name tag— “Noelle.”

She swallows then licks her lips, pushing to her feet.

“I am not allowed to give out guests’ information.”

“I know it’s not normal policy, but it is our friend’s birthday, and we wanted to surprise him. He has been down on his luck lately.” I hold back a laugh, hearing how low and smooth Royal is making his voice.
