‘I still hate you,’ I replied, watching his flawless face above mine.

‘Good,’ he replied.

Then I felt him push inside of me.

Immediately, I whimpered, but Philip went slow to begin with, pushing back my hair and kissing down my neck as he thrust back and forth. It felt electric and mind-blowing. I wrapped my legs around his back and moved my hands up his shirt. His body was sticky with sweat, I could tell he was on the edge.

‘Come inside me,’ I moaned, wanting to feel every bit of this man as deep as humanly possible, and also realising with an odd jolt that my coil was still in place.

‘Are you sure?’ he asked, panting deeply. ‘I do get tested, I promise.’

‘Yes! I want to feel you cum inside me.’

And with that, he grunted and moaned, finally orgasming.

I lay on his oak floor, catching my breath, as Philip leaned forward and kissed my forehead. He pulled out and flopped down beside me.

I turned my head and watched him regain composure. His hairy chest was slick with sweat. I could tell he worked out. He looked perfect lying there.

‘You have no idea how much I have dreamed of that moment,’ he said, lifting my hand and gently kissing it.

I was unable to speak, still feeling tingly and euphoric.

‘Was that OK for you?’ he asked, leaning up to face me, perching his head on his hand.

I grinned, smugly. ‘It was amazing,’ I said. No matter how much I hated complimenting the guy, there was no denying his skills were exquisite.

‘Well, I’m glad.’ He pecked my lips again. ‘You taste beautiful, Pilates.’

I blushed, not quite knowing the proper response to a fanny-taste-test compliment.

‘I can show you my bedroom now?’ he asked.

I leaned over and gently kissed him. ‘Yes, please.’

Because right now, there was no place I’d rather be.

Chapter Thirty-One

Zola

Across Glasgow, Zola was lying in Katy’s bed, working on the website. She was reading through all the additional reviews uploaded, adding extra tabs and features, ensuring it worked as smoothly as possible. She found it a great way to distract herself and keep busy as Katy entertained yet another new date in the living room. Zo was playing her favourite R&B playlist through her Beats in a bid to keep the moans and shagging sounds from next door to a minimum.

Nevertheless, she felt agitated at night, especially when Katy was dating. Despite WhatsApping Curtis a few reminders to take the bins out or to ask if he was OK, she still hadn’t spoken properly with him since the fallout. The Dicktionary Club was about the only thing that kept her mind occupied and busy from the chaos she had created in her personal life.

She was accepting reviews from the gym girls, skimming over their dates and editing out any information that could be defamatory, should any legal mishaps happen. When she clicked on the next review, Zola’s heart bounced in shock:‘Review of Alvaro – five stars.’Automatically, a large-scale photograph of her late-night finger-blasting floozie appeared on the screen.

Zola scrolled down, feeling her entire body rattle from the inside.

The date: Wow, what can I say about sweet Alvaro! He’s tall, Spanish and cultured. We certainly don’t have men in Glasgow like this, that’s for sure. Alvaro took me to Tiffany’s, where we enjoyed a steak dinner. Afterwards, we wandered through the West End and rested at the Botanical Gardens, where he recited poetry for me! Yes! Poetry! It was like a scene from a movie. After a couple of dates, we had the most passionate sex I’ve ever had. Let’s just say that man is a giver!

‘Fuck!’ Zola said, pulling off her headphones and slamming the laptop shut in a panic. She immediately felt dizzy and nauseous. She didn’t want Alvaro anywhere inside her mind, but the thought of him dating other women really bothered her.Why am I jealous?she wondered. She stood up, feeling confused, and paced Katy’s bedroom floor, but she couldn’t settle. She needed Katy’s advice, but she wanted to ensure the coast was clear, so she pressed her ear against the bedroom door.

Silence.

Slowly, Zola opened the door and stuck her face out into the hallway.

‘Katy?’ she hissed.
