I tilt my head to the sky, breathing in the new air and I furrow my brows. No scents of smog, air pollution, or gas… at all. My body is tingling with every step along the blue grass towards the roads that are paves with white bricks. Damn, I wonder how long that took to lay.

Everything must run off of magic or clean energy here. Or something… I feel more energized than I have in my entire life.

“Let’s move.” One of the guards in front of me glares at me before pointing to the car, I turn to glance over my shoulder at the healer.

“Come along, I’ll take her.” He pulls me to the car and we sit in the back, while Cal sits in the front passenger seat, staring out the window. He’s… changed. He was so kind, attentive, sensual…

And now he’s glaring, mad, stoic.

Shocker.

Probably another Adam. Has a woman in every realm, strings us all along, and blows us off when we get knocked up. Well, at least Adam tried to make it work with Carolina. Can’t say the same for Cal.

I glare out the window and watch the scenery as we pass. All of the homes are either cabins or built up like penthouses. Open spaces, people and children milling about everywhere I look. Hills everywhere I see. Are there oceans here?

I look over to the healer after he taps on my shoulder and he points out the front window. “Welcome to Thorne Palace.”
