“I have something to confess,” Logan finallysaid.
Connor’s head shot up from where it had been resting againstLogan’s chest for several peaceful minutes now. “Now?Afterthe fingerbanging?”
“Maybe I should have said something earlier,” Logan said.
“That depends on what it is.”
Connor, Logan could tell, was three seconds away from beingpissed. If Logan didn’t pull this off quickly, it wouldn’t be any fun.
“I made up a fake account so I could follow you onInstagram.”
Relief brightened Connor’s smile. His laughter warmedLogan’s heart. “I knew it.”
“I wanted to see what you were up to,” Logan said.
“My account’s not private. You could check it out anytimeyou wanted.”
“Yeah, but I didn’t want to miss anything,” Logan said.
“What’s your profile name?”
“Palm Tree Guy.”
“And that means what exactly?” Connor asked.
“It means the only things on my account are pictures of thepalm trees I took outside my building really quick. Every few months I’d addanother one. I actually have followers. They must be really into trees.”
“I love it.”
“Don’t gloat just because I was obsessed,” Logan said.
“I’m not gloating. It’s cute. You’re like, all, Mister ManlyMarine Guy, and then you’re Instagram stalking me like some high schooler.”
“Well, I have to confess,” Logan said. “I was pretty pumpedthere was never a boyfriend in the pictures.”
“Yeah, well, there weren’t any. Not really.”
“Not even one?” Logan asked.
“There were opportunities. None of them panned out.”
“Opportunities. Wow. How romantic. Did they come withdental?”
“Let’s just say I keep my Instagram work focused, all right?”Connor said. “What about you?”
“I’m not officially on Instagram, remember?” Logan tightenedhis embrace around the man he’d longed to lie with like this for years.
“I meant boyfriends, silly.”
“None, but I do have a couple of wives and a bunch of kidssprinkled all over Southern California. The holidays are nuts.”
“Logan.”
Logan thought of glacier-sized piles of other people’s dirtylaundry and strange litter box smells and guys who talked to him like he waseither a piece of meat or an obligatory inconvenience. “No boyfriend. Just theapps.”
“Ah, I see.”
