“Oooo, so like a family vacation?” I perk up and he smiles, but he shakes his head, laying it back on my chest.

“No, though we will all certainly be there, but more than that… I don’t want to leave you. I want you to come, but…” he trails off and I chuckle, understanding.

“Hey, I get it… I don’t know your parents yet, and I think it would be awkward if I started popping up all willy-nilly during your family outings. I think I should start with meeting them first and preferably after a solid thirty days of dating,” I giggle and it’s so surreal… Frank and I have only been going out technically for about a week…and have only known each other for about three weeks.

So I don’t think his mama and daddy would take too kindly to knowing he’s already moved in with a woman he barely even knows…I don’t think that will fly at all.

“Hell no. That has nothing to do with it. My parents don’t run shit over here, so that would never be the reason I’m not inviting you somewhere… I’m not doing it this time because we’re going somewhere that… well…” he groans as if trying to look for the words to describe it. “Well, to put it plainly, it’ll be hell, and I don’t want you in that type of environment.”

Oop… he must be going home to Scandinavia or something. His people gotta be one of the Four R’s: racist, rude, rigid, or religious. I’m glad he’s trying to protect me because I want no parts of the drama. I already have enough shit going on.

“It’s not a problem, baby. I hope you have a good time,” I tell him with a warm smile.

“I doubt it, but apparently it’ll help me deal with these fevers, so I’ll tolerate them for now. Enough about me… how was class?” he asks.

“They were good… pretty easy,” I briefly tell him about my lectures, breezing past the rumors and shit since he’s clearly not heard them and I’m glad about that…

“I’m glad, Little Baby.” He kisses my chest. “So, how do you like your woman cave?” he asks, and I snort.

“This is a whole ass house, Frank. Actually, speaking of a house,” I pause and side eye him…

“What is it, Little Baby?”

“Did you move me out of my apartment?” I glare at him, and he goes still.

“Whoa… would you look at the time…” He stands and I grab his ass by the collar and yank him back down.

“FRANK!”

“Little Baby, I just wanted to be with you!” He pouts and I roll my eyes at him.

“FRANK! YOU… UGHHH!” I growl and he pouts deeper.

“I just wanted my wife!” he tries to defend himself and I scrunch up my face.

“And what the hell does that have to do with youbreaking and enteringinto my apartment and moving my things?!”

“I didn’t break and enter… I had a key!”

“And where the hell did you get a key?! And where the hell are my things?!”

“Well, your things are around the house,” he states, breezing by the whole key situation.Nigga, you ain’t slick!But honestly, I’m too tired to care, and I’m not in the mood to fuss about a place that didn’t even feel like home in the first place.What I’mmore upset about is him going behind my back and not even bothering to consult me…

“Frank, you should have asked.”

“I know, Little Baby… I should have. I was wrong,” he whimpers, laying his hot head on my breast. “But your husband is sick, so can you forgive me?” He pouts adorably. I laugh and sigh, wrapping my arms around him.

“Baka(idiot)… there was nothing to forgive.” I kiss his head and run my finger through his hair, until he falls asleep in my arms, and I see that he really was tired. That’s why I’m glad I didn’t bring up today and the rumors.Damn… I really don’t want to go to class tomorrow.

The phone buzzes next to me, annoying and fucking grating. I have a headache from this fever, but it seems to dull a bit with me buried deep in Jessica like this. I let it go to voicemail, but it buzzes again. This time I shift, making my Little Baby grunt in her sleep as my arm snakes out from beneath the sheets, nearly dislocating itself just to grab the cell without disturbing her.
