“And why the fuck do I have to listen to you?” I goad, and his jaw clenches.

“Jessica. Stop.”

“I don’t listen to my exes.”

“Oooo fucking wee… you are trying me…”

“I ain’t trying shit with a nigga I’m not da?—”

“Jessica…” he whispers, placing a hand on my face, voice sounding eerie as hell. “I’m losing my temper.”

“Fuck your temper.” I spit and his lip curls, nose flaring, making me glare at him.

“You think this is funny?” he growls.

“On the fucking contrary. Ain’t shit funny about my ex-nigga showing up afterdaysof ghosting me and thinking he running shit,” I sneer.

“Oh, you’re showing out tonight, huh?” He smirks before sighing. “Look, I understand you’re pissed, but don’t you think you’re doing way too fucking much and going way too fucking hard without an explanation, Little Baby?” he huffs.

“Nah, I’m going as hard as I should. Your time to do that was when you left me on read, or you could have called, but you didn’t. Now I don’t have shit to say to youEX-boyfriend!” I point out, making sure to heavily enunciate the ex part, and Frank raises an unamused brow as his eyes darken like he’s ready to murder someone.

“Jessica… why the fuck are you playing with me like I won’t drag you to the nearest empty building and fuck some sense into you? Watch that disrespectful mouth of yours and how you handleyourhusband, because there ain’t shit broken up about us.”

“Oh? Last I checked, youREADthe, “We’re through,” message I sent. I’m not sure why you’re so confused.”

“For fuck’s sake Jessica…” He throws his head back exasperated, and I take that time to smack his hand away and turn just in time to see Tek and Duval come out of the throng of people bussing out of the club.

“What the fuck is he doing here?” Tek comes over and grabs onto my shoulder, and Frank’s gaze snaps to where he’s touching me as his eyes flash.

“Out of respect for my wife, I’ll give you the courtesy of warning you to remove your fucking hand,” Frank points, and Tek scoffs.

“W-wife? Who the fuck are you to call her that? You didn’t even show up to her game tonight,” Tek goads, and that surprises me and makes me look back because I didn’t talk to him about this…I don’t talk about my personal life with anyone, so how did he know?

“Tek, how did you know?”

“How could I not when you kept looking at the stands and checking your phone…?” His hand cups my face and his thumb brushes over my cheek. “I saw you cry after the ga?—”

“AHHHH!” I scream when Tek is snatched away from me and goes flying in the air, crashing into the dumpsters, and just like in those movies, a black cat screeches and goes running across my feet in the alley.FUCK….“TEK!” I shout, sprinting over to him to make sure he’s okay, but this nigga laid the fuck out like a light.Shit…

I check his breathing, panicking, but lets out a breath when he groans, and luckily, his head didn’t make impact with the ground.

“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!” I shout, turning my attention to Frank who throws me a nonchalant look.

“I gave him a warning, and he chose to ignore it.” He points an accusatory finger at Tek.

“What the fuck, Frank?! Are you a child?!”

“No, I’m your fucking husband, and I do not like when others put their hands on what the fuck belongs to me,” he sneers.

“Well news the fuck flash, I do not belong to you I. Am. Single!” I roar and, in that moment, a big ass bolt of lightning strikes across the sky, scaring the shit out of me.WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!

“Jessica…” I glance up to Frank standing there with tears in his eyes.Wait, is this dude crying?“Why are you being so mean?” he pouts, taking my hand, and kissing it. “Why are you saying that you broke up with me?” He smoothly pulls me into his arms, hugging me tightly. “Why are you breaking my heart?” He holds me against him, and I can feel his heart beating so fast, I’m left to wonder if he’s okay.

“I…”

“Jess…” I go still and try to turn, but Frank keeps me in place.

“Why the fuck won’t these flies go the fuck away?!” Frank growls under his breath, and I look around and make a face because this man clearly needs to get his eyes checked. There are no flies around tonight.
