“You get what you want… you gonna get the girl.”

Blaze blew smoke into my face. “Fuck all that shit… who your best man gonna be?”

He asked like he already asked Zoya to marry him, and she gave him an answer. “You and Capp available to plan it… all I’masking? I need my aunt Maxine to cook, though…have Gams and Jean come through with the other food.”

When Blaze held his spliff between his lips and pulled his phone and went to his notes, I tuned the both of them out. “Heard you… we got you.”

I didn’t know who was worse: Cappadonna and Blaze for thinking they were wedding planners, or Goon for being serious about the shit.

Capri stopped dancing with Erin and held the side of her stomach. Blaze jumped up and tossed his lit spliff in my lap. “You fucking burned me!”

“Suga! I told you throwing that ass was dangerous!” he was yelling as he ran over toward her. She was leaned down and then blew a cloud of sand in his face, as he fell back onto the sand and she quickly ran away.

As quick as a pregnant woman carrying twins would. “I’m gonna fuck you up, Suga!” He hollered, holding his eye as she held onto her knees, laughing. My phone buzzed in my pocket, and I put the spliff out and went over toward Anjo, who was laughing in his face.

“Anjo,” I called, and she turned around and looked at me.

Her face dropped like something was wrong. “What’s wrong, Simmy?”

I smiled. “Nothing, I wanna show you something.”

I extended my hand and hers slid into mine as she stuck her tongue at Blaze. “I’m done with him, Meer… I’m leaving him. I’ll be a single mother on the bus,” Blaze mocked her.

“Who went to who?” She raised her brow.

Blaze laughed while trying to get the sand out his eyes. “You right… Had King Inferno on his fucking knees.”

“And did!” they both slapped hands while doing some sprinkle shit with their fingers while I stood there unimpressed.

Grabbing a handful of her ass, I got closer to her ear. “Let me hear you say that shit tonight, Anjo.”

Her body reacted while I kept her ass in my hand and kissed her neck. “Simmy,” she released a low moan.

“Yeah, see … I’ll find my way back to the house. Suga, come fucking help me get this sand out my eyes,” Blaze hopped up, not wanting to hear us.

I pulled her behind me as we walked down the beach. We were on the Delgato side, and while I was trying to get my wife back over to our side, Erin came over with Capone. “Listen, I was talking to Winnie’s cousin in town, and she told me there has been some dolphins spotted nearby. I already told Capri, don’t let them touch your stomach, Blair.”

Capone stood behind her, motioning for us to agree because he was trying to get some from her. When she spun around, he tried to act normal by nodding his head and agreeing with her.

“I promise, Erin,” Blair said, trying to hold her laugh in.

As she was about to go deep into her research, Capone picked her up, tossed her over his shoulder and walked away. “Ya’ll gonna thank me for all this damn research!”

“Nobody asked!” Cappadonna yelled while he and Alaia laid on their towels on the beach and rubbed each other’s feet.

I ignored them and held my baby close as we made the trek back to our side. “Where are we going?”

“I have a surprise for you.”

She became excited when I mentioned a surprise. “What is it?”

“You’ll see.” I kissed her hand.

When we got closer to the house, she looked at the woman waiting for us. “How is this a surprise?”

“She’s taking our maternity pictures, love. When we go back home, I have some scheduled with us and Elijah, too.”
