“Ah, Dahlia. Well, she’s a pro.”

“I know,” Daphne said. “I wish I could convince her to come home.”

“She could make the place a trendy spot, you know?” I said.

“The food hall could be amazing, right? If I gave her the reins, she’d make it fabulous.”

“Chloe would hype the hell out of it.”

“Influencers are a big part of what we need,” Daphne said. “Davey doesn’t see the point. Dad didn’t, either, but they need to wise up. Influencers are walking billboards. Our customers spend most of their time on social media. If you have no social media footprint, do you exist?”

“Nope,” I said. “It was a big part of my campaign.”

“Did Chloe hype you?”

“Chloe wasn’t my target demographic. It was young community organizers. I had a cult-like following and just ran with it. No clue how it worked. It was organic.”

“We need that. Cal, can you set up meetings so I can work on all of this? I am serious. I want to do it.”

“Of course,” I agreed. “Absolutely. And just to be clear… it hasnothingto do with what happened last night.”

She bit her lip. “I know. But last night was… lovely. Thank you.”

“Oh, I plan to take full advantage of this moratorium on normal life today. I’m prepared.”

I nodded at the bag.

“Good. I’ll let you if you want to spend all day in bed after this. However, if I do not eat something, I’ll be hangry. Always feed me breakfast. I don’t take kindly to being hungry.”

I snickered. “Noted.”

Daphne bit her lip. “Of course, I don’t have to start the eggs for a minute, and the bacon has twenty minutes, so we have some time to kill.”

“I like the way you think, Daphne,” I said.

Daphne

I didn’t see myself as the type of girl to get it on in her mother’s conservatory. I also didn’t think I’d be the person to do it astride my late father’s best friend on an expensive heirloom piece of wicker furniture. Mother had only recently reupholstered it custom-printed Swedish fabric. And if Lady Danna saw me right now, she’d lose her goddamn mind.

“Well, are you going to come over here, or am I just going to sit here in my most vulnerable state?” Cal asked.

I kicked off my shorts and panties as if defiantly announcing I was ready and climbed onto the couch. I slowly lowered myself down on top of Cal, easing into my pleasure.

“You alright?” Cal cupped my face in his hands.

“I’m great,” I kissed him.

I slowly ground against him, feeling how deep he filled me as I did. It felt glorious! I was going to get offtwicein two days. That was more than I’d gotten off in as many years! I bit his lip as I slowly bobbed.

Cal pulled back. “You are greedy, Daphne.”

“You like me greedy,” I said.

Words poured out of me. When within five feet of Cal’s beautiful and available cock, I turned into a different woman altogether.

Cal ran his hands to my breasts.
