I’m glad that my triad went out and braved the emptiness of space to carve something out for themselves. I could never respect a triad that wants to relax in the safety of their home planet.

Although lately, I wonder how safe their home planet is, what with the Priests stirring up dissent. Garrick stands up from the pilot’s seat, walking to me and running his hand through my hair. He massages my scalp with his big fingers, and I untense. “Don’t worry, Sawoot. Everything’s going to work out. I promise.”

“I believe you.” I smile up at him, and I know that no matter how hard things get, as long as I have my triad, we can face it together,

A two-week voyage to a budding space station surrounded by three hulking aliens utterly obsessed with me doesn’t sound half bad.

“You better get going. My count says you’ve got about twenty seconds, and I know Tar’ank’s looking for any excuse to spank that gorgeous ass of yours.”

I cross my arms. “I’ll spank him,” I say, but inside I wouldn’t mind being put over his lap and just melting under the alpha alien’s touch. Instead I skip to the living chambers, the doors hissing open, and meet Tar’ank in his chambers.

“You’re on the line,” he growls, and I wink at him.

“Too bad. Two more seconds and you could have spanked me,” I tell him, stepping up to the beastly man and running my hands against his chest.

He meets my touch with a growl, lifting me into the air and pressing me down against the bed in one swift motion.

I’m starting to get used to this kind of treatment.

No, that’s not quite true…

As he pulls my clothes off, and the Bond thrums in my mind, I feel the truth.

I’m starting to get addicted to it.

But will I be able to make the space station feel like home?

Or am I going to lose my mind to the Bond?

I stop thinking as Tar’ank’s lips find mine, pressing against them hard, my arousal welling up again.

I let my mind go blank in my lust.

I’ll worry about this later…

Sawoot

Six months later

“And you can see here, mining repairs have been really profitable. But here’s something that’s strange. The Scorp are going crazy lately. It’s been good for business…but I don’t know. I don’t like it.” Theme points to a graph of numbers and bar charts projected on the holo-vid screen.

“You’re always worried about something,” I tease him, lying back on the giant sofa. My triad built me a star-gazing room with triple-thick glass on the far end of the station, away from the hustle and bustle of the commercial spaces.

It’s an awe-inspiring view. Out here, in the depths of space near an asteroid field in Human Alliance space that’s being continuously mined, the only lights come from our station and the millions of twinkling stars. If I use our biggest telescope, I can see Tasha’s planet, right on the outskirts of the territories. Once they terraform it, they’ll decide whether to settle it or sell it to the Human Alliance who may want to expand their borders.

The room itself is beautiful. Huge, with high ceilings that look out to infinity, it has a bar served by an AI, a big sitting chair, and a dining room table. It’s just part of our spacious living quarters that still manage to feel small when my triad is here.

My triad, who are currently away from me for the first time in six months. I needed a brief respite from the power of the Bond. I needed the urges to be dulled, just a little, so I could think.

“You’re probably right, Sawoot. But still, it’s something to keep an eye on. We’ve also noted a thirty percent in Scorp Org-Ships coming from Wild Space.”

I shudder. I hate thinking about the fleshy egg-sacks that seem to fly through space without direction, yet always unerringly end up towards Orbs or organic life that can serve as hosts for their queens. Each org-ship, which look like huge, fleshy eggs, has a slumbering Scorp queen inside and an army of her fighters.

They plague the miners. It’s good for business, but I’d sacrifice all our profits if we could cleanse the universe of the species.

“Alright. Well, let me know if things get worse. Say, how’s it going with Larixa?”
