“No, you’re not!” she cried.

Then she cursed herself for saying that.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean that.”

“Immy,” Tobias said sternly. “Explain what you meant.”

“I didn’t mean to say it.”

“You didn’t mean to say it because you didn’t actually mean it or you don’t want to upset us?” Jenner asked. “What did you mean by saying that?”

“It’s just I . . . I . . . I don’t want to be selfish.”

“Baby, you could never be that,” Jenner told her.

She wasn’t so sure. “It’s just . . . sometimes I wish . . . I wish you’d sleep in the bed with me! Both of you. I know that’s selfish. Jenner doesn’t want to be in the same bed as me and maybe you don’t want to be in here together with me. Maybe we’ll always sleep apart, I don’t know. But neither of you have really done more than kiss me and I get that I’ve been injured, but I feel a lot better and now I’m starting to wonder if . . . if you don’t want me!”

“Don’t want you?” Jenner said and he looked pale. Tense. “Baby girl, that couldn’t be further from the truth.”

“Really?” she whispered.

“Really,” Tobias told her. “We’re both jacking off so much that I’m surprised we haven’t gotten Carpal Tunnel in our wrists.” He stretched out his hand and she giggled in shock at his words.

“Wait. Really?” she asked.

“I wouldn’t quite put it like that,” Jenner said dryly. “But, baby, we want you. And that’s part of the reason I haven’t slept with you. The kicking you thing is really an excuse. If I had your body pressed up against me all night, my dick would be as hard as concrete. I didn’t want to scare you.”

“Why would that scare me?” she asked.

“Because you’re so innocent,” Tobias told her. “And because you’ve been injured, you weren’t ready.”

“I’m doing much better,” she said. “And I’m going to be innocent forever unless someone fucks me.”

“Did Immy just say fuck?” Jenner said with a huge gasp. “I’m going to die from shock.”

She mock-glared at him. “It’s not swearing if you’re talking about actual, um, fucking.”

“No, it’s not,” Tobias said with a chuckle.

“There’s another reason why I haven’t gone further than kissing you,” Jenner told her seriously. “I like to be in control. A lot. And I don’t want to push you too far or scare you. I don’t know how much control you’ll be happy giving me, but you should probably be with Tobias first until you’re ready for more.”

She leaned over and grabbed Jenner’s hand. “No! Don’t leave!”

“I think it’s for the best if you’re with Tobias first, though.”

“I have to choose? We . . . are we always going to do this . . . separately?” she asked knowing her cheeks had to be bright red.

“Well, I, uh . . . you’d want to do this together?”

Lord,this was painful.

Tobias knew he had to help them both out.

“Jenner, sit,” he said.

Jenner shot him a look, but sat down, facing them.

“I know you’re worried about scaring or hurting Immy, but both Immy and I know that you would never do that.”
