“Yes, but you also like when I fight with you. Don’t try and fool me.”

Humming, he grabbed a fistful of my hair in a tight grip. His lips met my ear. “Do you want to know what I was thinkingabout in the club when you were grinding your ass on my dick? And earlier, when you were squirming on my lap on the plane?”

He couldn’t be more obvious. “Does it have something to do with my ass?”

“Good guess, bella. Very good guess.”

I put my hands on his shoulders and tried to make him see reason. “Vito, you can’t put your dick in there. My jaw nearly unhinges when I blow you. I’m not ready for anal with you.”

“Where is my sweet girl, eh? Mio dolce angelo, the one who wants to do every dirty little thing I can dream of?”

Oh, god. I could see the determination in his eyes, the dark possessive soul that lurked under the fancy clothes. He wasn’t going to drop this.

But I needed to know if this was humanly possible. Because I’d done anal twice and neither man was close to Vito’s size. “Be serious. How many women have taken your dick in their ass? And I don’t mean professionals. I mean women like me.”

“Enough that I’m sure of what I’m doing. I’ll follow the steps and won’t rush you. It will only feel good, te lo prometto.”

His accent was thick now, which meant he was turned on. Turned on just thinking about fucking me back there. Was I going to do this? I nibbled on my lip, unsure. “What if I get naked and crawl on the floor, then give you an amazing blow job?”

“Keep going,” he urged, both hands sliding under my shirt to rub my lace-covered breasts.

“I’ll throw in a back rub.”

He chuckled and pinched my nipples. “By the time I’m through, you will beg for me to fuck your ass. Trust me, baby.”

I sighed as electric pulses raced from my nipples straight to my clit. “There is no chance of that happening, Vito. Zero.”

“Do you trust me to stop if you don’t like it?”

I answered without hesitation. “Of course.” Vito would never hurt me. Not purposely.

“Then there is no more discussing it. You will do as I say and not fight me. I will break you apart, angelo mio, but I promise to put you back together.”

“What if I don’t want to be broken apart?”

His thumb traced my bottom lip, his body surrounding me. “You are brave and strong, one of the strongest I know. You never back down, even when I wish you would. Don’t run scared now. Trust me to take care of you.”

My bones melted like hot wax. Was this really how he saw me? Or was he trying to bend me to his will? Because it was working. I trusted him and I was growing more and more curious. Could I do it? Would I like it? I wasn’t one to run scared. And who knew how many more nights I’d have this man in my life?

“Okay,” I blurted, making a quick decision. “But I need a glass of wine first.”

Dark satisfaction flashed over his expression before he reached for the bottle of wine. “Va bene, bella. Let’s go out to the fire pit.”

We carried our glasses outside and settled on the sofa in front of the fire pit. Heaters were placed overhead, buffering us from the Canadian chill. “This is nice out here,” I said as I tucked my feet beneath me. “Your apartment is beautiful.”

He angled toward me and stretched his arm out along the sofa back. “I’m glad you like it. I don’t use this place much.”

“When was the last time you brought a woman here?”

He took a long sip from his wine glass. “Why would you ask such a thing?”

Because it reminds me we are only temporary.

“I’m curious about your past. You’ve never had a wife or a girlfriend. So how do you meet women?”

“They approach me in restaurants and office buildings. On the street.” He lifted an elegant shoulder. “I’m not on an app, if that’s what you’re asking.”

I ignored the streak of jealousy strangling my lungs. Of course women were always throwing themselves at this man, just like I had in the casino bar. I swallowed a mouthful of wine, not even caring about the taste. “And the last time you brought one here?”
