I grabbed another pillow and held it in my lap. “I can’t think clearly around him! He’s like a vagina whisperer.”

“Why are you holding back?” she cried. “He’s into you. His mom likes you. You clearly like him. Don’t even try to say you don’t.”

I had to bite back a smile, but it quickly turned into a frown. “You should have seen my dad last Sunday when I mentioned I was coaching with Rhett. He about lost it and said the sooner I get away from him the better.”

“You know your dad,” she said. “He’s just worried about you.”

I bit my lip. “I don’t want him to be disappointed in me. He did everything for me after Mom left, and then he helped me pick up the pieces after Rhett. He’ll be so upset when I tell him about me and Rhett. If there is a me and Rhett.”

She tilted her head. “Oh, hon... it’s still so new. You don’t need to worry about telling your dad until you figure out what it is, right?”

I nodded slowly. “That’s true.”

She tossed her pillow at me. “Stop looking so worried! Rhett just made you comein public. You should still be in your post-orgasm glow.”

I laughed. “I definitely am.”

Grinning, she said, “That makes two of us.”

I raised my eyebrows. “Today?”

“He left half an hour ago.” She winked. “I already disinfected the table, if you were wondering.”

I shook my head at her. “Look at us, two girls in their thirties having the best sex of their lives. We should have a show.Sex and the Country.”

She laughed. “I’d watch it.”

“Me too.” I pushed myself up from the couch. “Now I need to go have dinner with my dad and hope he can’t tell what I was doing earlier.”

Cam laughed. “Good luck. I’m covering for a night shift tonight, so I won’t be here.”

I went and hugged her shoulders. “Thanks for being my bestie for the restie.”

She smiled up at me. “Thank you for adding to the spank bank.”

“Cam!” I cried.

She laughed, pointing at me. “Oh my gosh, you should have seen your face.”

My cheeks were still blushing. “Okay, goodbye.”

“Wait,” she said. “I forgot to tell you. Shelley’s bach party. We’re both invited, along with forty of her closest friends.”

I laughed. Shelley was always a good time, but she had a million friends from her time in the sorority with Cam. But she was the kind of person who knew and remembered and loved everyone too, so I wanted to be there for her. “When is it?”

“Next weekend.”

I frowned. “Weren’t we supposed to go to the rodeo with Cooper and Rhett?” Now I was actually looking forward to it.

She said, “I already talked to Cooper, and there’s another rodeo the weekend after. We’re going to that one.”

I smiled. “Sounds good. Do we need to book a hotel?”

Shaking her head, Cam said, “Apparently Shelley’s dad booked some kind of mega house for us all. Totally paid for.”

“Nice,” I said. “Okay, now I really do have to go.”

I went to change, and I was out the door, getting in my car when Dad called.
