Rhett: Multiple times. For her of course. ;)
Fletcher: TMI TMI TMI
Rhett: Nothing should be TMI for a doctor.
Fletcher: I’m off the clock. And I’m happy for you.
Fletcher: So when are you putting a ring on it?
Rhett: We just slept together!
Fletcher: You asked me the same thing when I got with your sister. At least I’m not asking in front of Maggie.
I could feel his pointed stare, even through the phone.
Rhett: I messed up once before, asking her when she wasn’t ready. I can’t mess it up again.
Fletcher: You’re both older now. And I can guarantee she’s wiser.
Rhett: Hahaha. *Middle finger emoji*
Fletcher: Love you too.

When we gotup in the morning, I woke up to find Mags already in the kitchen, cooking in her underwear and my oversized T-shirt. Liv got it for me because she said it was “on trend.” I hadn’t ever worn it because it looked dumb on me, butdamn.
I leaned against the wall, biting my bottom lip. “Fuck, do you look good.”
She glanced over her shoulder at me, smiling. She’d washed off all her makeup and pulled her hair off her neck into a ponytail. It was all natural, the rawest, best version of her. “I haven’t even brushed my teeth.”
“You could borrow my toothbrush,” I offered.
She winced. “Gross.”
“Babe. You had my cock in your mouth last night.”
She arched a brow. “You’re right. Maybe I shouldn’t do that again. You know, for sanitary reasons.”
“Fuck no.” I went to her, pulling her away from the stove and kissing her deeply.
But this time, the doorbell interrupted our kiss.
She looked at me, half exasperated, half threatening. “I swear to God, if that’s another girl at your door…”
“I’ll just make a no soliciting sign,” I teased, grabbing a pen from the junk drawer and writing on the magnetic notepad on the fridge.
NO FUCKING ALLOWED (Unless you’re Maggie. Then fucking is encouraged.)
She rolled her eyes at me and continued cooking. “Just get rid of them fast, will you?”
“Sure thing.”
I went to my door and pulled it open, ready to tell whoever it was that I already had a woman in my bed and I wasn’t letting her go any time soon.
But then, I saw who was standing there.
From behind me, Maggie said, “Dad?”
