Page 63 of Broken Truths

His piercing rubs something sensitive inside me, sending tremors through me.

He peers down, his gaze so full of passion, lust, and love that I wrap my hands around the back of his head, lacing my fingers as he starts to move inside me. My knees fall open, giving him any access he wants. For a long while, the only sounds are the two of us moving against each other and our chaotic breaths as we move closer to oblivion together. “I love you, Eden. I’ll give you anything you want and more.”

“I love you, too. You are all I need right now.”

He holds my gaze, every hip movement like an exclamation point on the moment. It’s deeper than skin and sex and lust. It’s everything.

Leo props up, gripping the headboard and thrusting into me like he wants to break me in half. We both orgasm at the same time, screaming like the sounds were yanked from our throats. The pleasure whipping through me is all-consuming and burns from the inside out.

If this is what life with Leo will be like, I’ll be one happy lady.

Leo was right about one thing—well, two things, but if he ever asks, I’ll deny it with every breath.

The Secret File is a gold mine. Lucky us.

And for the second? From his recount of the discussion he had with his grandfather about Eden stepping back from the Knights, he was spot on. Franklin Jarvis is thrilled. From his point of view, I’m sure everything looks as if it is sliding into place, just like it always does for men like him. He doesn’t have to promote a woman to Knighthood, and he doesn’t even have to deal with any women in the Knights right now since Anne-Marie also bowed out and the others couldn’t hack it.

He’s probably gloating over his caviar lunch.

If he ever had any suspicions about Eden’s arrival here, I’m sure that’s all gone also now that his grandson is marrying her. My stomach squeezes at the thought. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of the jealousy, but I’ll live with it. I can always say I had her first, and one of my few triumphs in this life is getting her to realize her feelings for me.

I’m a lucky man.

“He did mention wanting to have you over for dinner to discuss things,” Leo slips in at the end of the conversation.

My body automatically tightens. If he touches her, I will kill him. I’ll drag him into this house, tie him up by the fireplace, just like I did to Keegan, and I will take my time. I will sever his appendages from his body slowly, carefully. James will be mad about the blood, but he’ll get over it.

“Obviously,” he adds, “we’re going to stop that from happening at all costs.”

Eden is currently perched on Alaric’s lap, and he absentmindedly feeds her a slice of pineapple as he reads through the file for probably the tenth time. He’s studied that thing backward and forward. I wouldn’t be surprised if he could recall some of the secrets from memory now.

But what really has my attention is Eden. She looks so happy snapping the pineapple out of his pinched fingers.

Never in a million years did I ever think I’d be in a relationship with one woman…and two men. But every day of my life, I wished for Eden Astor, so if this is how she comes, this is what I’m in. For the long haul.

“At all costs,” Alaric repeats, smiling at Eden when he hears her chuckle.

“Luckily, Eden and I devised a plan last night,” Leo says.

I smirk. “That’s what that sound was?”

Eden freezes, then peers around at the walls. “Stupid old house. Thin walls. Our next house needs to have an extra sound barrier.”

I shrug. “Didn’t bother me any. I had a great time with me, myself, and I.” Not going to lie, I came hard and fast after listening to them. Even toyed with the idea of showing up in Leo’s room. I mean, if they’re going to be that loud about it, it’s got to be an invitation, right?

As if she could read my mind, Eden says, “You could’ve joined.” The lust in her eyes has me biting the inside of my cheek. I enjoyed our group sex way more than I thought. Watching her take pleasure while giving pleasure… It was the most erotic thing I’d ever been involved in. Next time, I’ll be first in line.

A quick glance at Leo, however, and his expression is unreadable. I get why they’re drawn to each other. Even more so now with the extra grief that’s been piled on Eden, but he’s a bit darker than the rest of us. Part of me thinks I don’t want to interrupt anything they have going on privately. Fuck me for even thinking this, but they might deserve that time together. I turn toward Eden. “He had you well handled. I think the neighbors even know.”

Her face blanches.

Alaric glances up at the sudden silence in the room and moves her face so she’s looking at him. “I didn’t hear a thing.”

I chuckle at that. “That’s because you were passed out after reading that file all night, mate.”
