"What are you doing?"
Prince Finn's voice made her jump.
"Freddy and Asher will be right back," she said.
"I didn't ask what they were doing, did I?"
He pulled himself to a sitting position on the bed, his eyes glittering with an intensity that made her feel like he could see right through her.
"Whatare you doing?" he asked again.
Asher reentered the room. "How are you feeling?"
"What is she doing here?"
Freddy carried in a flask and a pouch. "She came with me."
"Why?" Finn asked. His tone was sharp and commanding, and it caused a shiver to run down Sage's back.
"Where are my manners?" Freddy asked. "Prince Finn, this is Sage. My temporary roommate."
Colby approached them with a glint in his eye. "Roommate, huh? Didn't realize you had gotten a girlfriend, Fredrick."
Sawyer smirked as he took the pouch from Freddy and opened it. "Did our gargoyle get a pet?"
Freddy shot him a dirty look. "She's not a pet."
"Whatever you say." Colby winked.
"Girlfriend, huh?" Sawyer’s smirk never left. "That's some pretty fast dating, Fredrick."
"Shut up," Sage mumbled. "I'm looking for a place to stay."
"Still haven't found anywhere? I was sure you had somewhere to go after you stormed out of our place," Prince Finn replied.
Sage shot Prince Finn a glare.
"That was you? Finn here was so worked up the rest of the day. So much so that he—" Colby's voice cut off when the back of Prince Finn's hand smacked into his stomach.
"I was fine. Iamfine. Let's get out of here."
Prince Finn attempted to stand, only to find Freddy pushing him back onto the bed.
"Not before you take this."
Sawyer handed Freddy several things from the pouch to put in the flask. The prince rolled his eyes and held out his hand, waiting.
"Did you ... ?" Sage whispered before stopping herself.
Asher offered her a small encouraging smile. "What did you need?"
"Nothing. I just... Never mind."
The rest of the group turned their attention to her.
"Yes?" Freddy asked.
"Did you get ginger and drasken mushroom?"
