She sat up while looking around to figure out where they were. There was usually a route she took to and from the town, and she wasn’t particularly familiar with the trees currently surrounding them.

“Why’d you stop? I told you I’d be fine.”

“We’re here.”

“You know what...” she said as she began to climb off him. “I should have figured as much. You know that’s usually a three to four hour walk for me, right?”

“That’s because you humans are impossibly slow.”He lifted one of his arms to steady her when it was obvious her legs were wobbly with exhaustion from holding onto him.“I’ve always thought that it was impossible that humans haven’t been hunted into extinction yet.”

She lifted her chin up at him. “We may not be fast, but we’re exceptionally clever.”

“Just hurry up and go into your human village. I will wait here.”Despite this, he grabbed her forearm when she nodded and turned to walk away. She faced him and found his orbs were a dark green.“Remember my warning, Mayumi. That hasn’t changed.”

“I don’t think I’m particularly fond of the colour of jealousy on you,” she answered with her eyelids lowered in annoyance.

She was coming here to find a way to help him, not to go bouncing with human men.

Plus, it would be the equivalent of throwing a sausage down a hallway at this point after taking Faunus’ brilliant cock. How many men would she need to take now just to feel somewhat full, three or four at the same time? It sounded like too much work, and she doubted they’d reach anywhere near the same depth.

His clawed hand slipped up her arm and cradled the back of her head. He yanked her forward, bringing her closer before he drew his tongue up her neck and over the corner of her jaw.

Then, right when his skull was next to her ear, he growled,“The colour does not signify jealousy, my foolish Demonslayer. It signifies my possessiveness of you.”She couldn’t contain the little, naughty tremor that tickled down her spine at the depth of his gravelly voice and dark words.“Currently, you aremine, and I will destroy anything that touches what is mine.”

She opened her mouth to refute him out of usual habit when someone said that to her but closed it when she realised she was rather content with that notion. She opened it again to mention that he wouldn’t take her soul, which meant she wasn’t actually his, then closed it again when she understoodwhyhe wouldn’t – not that she agreed with it.

I could only live another year or two.

She baited Demons to her home; she could be killed by one. She could easily die from a sickness, a broken bone, drowning in the tub, choking on a piece of bread. A human’s life was feeble and weak.

But she was terrible, and she enjoyed messing with him.

“I take it back,” she whispered, perhaps a little raspier than she intended. “I like this colour on you, then.”

She heard a chomping sound come from him, which he mainly did when he opened his fangs to shut them again when he was stunned speechless for a moment or sometimes annoyed.

He leaned back while still cradling the back of her head. He twisted his own.“You... like me being possessive of you?”

“Only because I think you would actually go out and kill anyone for touching me. It gives far more meaning than anyone who’s ever tried to say it to me before.” She leaned in closerand whispered against his fangs. “It’s like playing with danger, except I’m in control of other people’s lives without them knowing.”

“Why are you like this?”he groaned, wrapping his arm around her to pull her closer.

“I have to go into the town, Faunus!” she squealed, noticing his orbs flash purple.

“No, you don’t. You don’t have to get anyone else’s scent on you. Only mine is worthy enough to be on you.”

He started brushing the fur covering his neck against her, but she was sure she already smelt like him.Well... he did come inside me this morning.

Oh, my God! I just realised I’d be walking through the town with Duskwalker come inside me.She didn’t know if she was concerned by that fact... or turned on by it.No one would ever suspect what I’ve been doing with him.

She almost wanted to laugh when she realised she was more perverted than she ever thought.

She smiled when the tension she’d been able to feel since their conversation this morning was burned away by this one. It was what she’d been hoping for.

No matter what happened, Mayumi hadn’t wanted things to change. She didn’t want Faunus to withdraw from her, and she didn’t want to do the same.

I’ll find a solution, and until I do... I’ll just pretend nothing bad will happen.

It was odd that the most cynical person she’d ever met – herself – was willing to believe in blind hope like this.
