Instead, his growl deepened as he barrelled through it, taking whatever pain it gave him to get to the other side.

Mayumi never locked her home as there was no point. If someone wanted in while she was gone, they’d find their way in somehow.

That meant all Faunus needed to do was open the door.

He flipped her onto her feet and pushed her into her home right through the doorway, then proceeded to block her exit.

His orbs were an even brighter green than usual, buteverything else about him was threatening. His fur and even his lizard spikes were standing on their ends. He was puffed, which made him look like a large, menacing fluff ball. He was also visibly quaking.

“You will stay,”he demanded.

Just as Mayumi folded her arms and opened her mouth to refute, Faunus grabbed the door handle andslammedthe door shut.

She winced when she heard a cracking sound from her door or perhaps the frame.

“You can’t keep me in here,” she bit through the door.

Mayumi jumped in surprise when he gave a singular bash to the door with the bottom of his large fist.

“You WILL stay, Mayumi!”he roared.“You will not take another male while I am here!”

Her arms began to loosen. Is he jealous?

Just the mere idea of that had another shiver running down her spine, this time accompanied by her biting at her bottom lip. If he was, she kind of liked him being possessive. She didn’t mind the whole caveman ‘woman mine, only mine’ feral thing.

Actually, it had her insides fluttering in welcome and made the tingling ache of her nipples more prominent.

Then he shouldn’t have left me here for a week and a half after not giving me what I wanted.

She alsohatedbeing told what to do.

Mayumi did the only thing she could do. She walked to the storage room of her house, pulled down the trapdoor to her attic, and climbed the ladder. Then she pushed open the roof door and crawled on top of her cottage.

She knew she’d been heard when she slid down the side of her roof by her hips on purpose. She caught the railing when she went over the edge and saw Faunus had leaned away from the door to look exactly where she hung.

He appeared hulking and beastly on her porch. He was too big for it, a daunting mass of darkness, muscle and body.

Mayumi gave him a glare as she let go and fell freely into the soft snow below her. It cushioned her fall. She scrambled to her feet when she heard an actual roar this time.

Fuck. Why does that turn me on so much?!

She tried to run, but the thick loose powder made it difficult. She only made it three steps before she was tackled to her front.

There was no opportunity for her to move when he laid down on top of her and curled his arms around her. He caged her in with his own body, locked her arms to her sides, and only gave her legs just the minutest freedom to kick. She noted he was hot, almost like his body was filled with lava. His quaking seemed to worsen to the point it shook her.

“Never run from me,”he warned slowly and punctuated.

A gasp was rendered out of her when he yanked her and stood. He braved the barrier once more, intending to put her back inside. Just as he opened the door, Mayumi placed her feet on the doorframe to keep herself out of the house.

It didn’t work. She had to move her legs, or he’d snap her damn knees with his pushing.

“I need to go into town!”

She needed food and supplies! Screw what she said before. She actually had things to do there today.

The sounds that were beginning to come from him were completely and utterly inhuman. Were they snarls, growls, barks? Or perhaps a mixture of every predator she’d ever heard of?

Regardless, Faunus shoved both of them through the doorway. Before she knew it, he’d crossed through the house and shoved her front against the dining table.
