Two? Is it because we’re so close to the Veil?
Unsure of what was happening to Aleron, and just thankful he’d considered Gideon’s feelings by bringing them back to theground, he hastened his steps. He grabbed the case handle and bolted back over.
Aleron didn’t cradle him.
Instead, he wound a single arm around his torso while still protecting his exposed shaft. He lifted him like a football nestled under his armpit and pushed off the ground once more. The Demon made a sharp choking noise below his heavy weight as it was crushed during Aleron’s take off. Then they were in the air once more, Gideon cringing with the weight of his case at the end of his dangling arm.
In the distance, branches snapped and shrubs rustled as a much larger Demon sprinted to what had been their campsite.Fucking hell. That one sounds like a bear.
As they fled the area, their altitude bobbed and dipped erratically with each of Aleron’s pained hisses. It was only once he managed to shove his shaft back behind his seam that Aleron stopped letting out whines and started flying straight.
Wind cut through Gideon’s hair, cooled his desirously heated skin, and billowed inside his shirt and jacket.
As bad as Gideon felt for Aleron, an uncontrolled laugh burst from his lips. His eyes wetted with humour-filled tears that turned ice cold in the chilly air.
“Why are you laughing?” Aleron bit out, snapping his fangs at him. “You could have been hurt.”
“Do you not realise how fucking funny all that was? We were too busy fooling around, and I...” His chuckles deepened when he almost stated hadn’t cared a Demon was coming so long as hecame. “Aleron, you have to understand... this is all new to me. I’ve been so afraid of the dark and being outside the walls of Fishket that I never would have dreamed of a night like this. Even if it was scary, I knew you’d get us out of there safely.”
A normal situation during all this for a human would be all of them even more terrified of the forest. They would be checkingtheir wounds and making sure none of their friends had just died.
Instead, now, with Aleron...All I can think about is how we didn’t get to finish. There was a twisted humour in that.
Gideon had also never felt morealive.
Aleron had never expected once his bride thawed of his iciness, he would be annoying. Cute, but chatty.
Perhaps it could be blamed on his foul mood, but Aleron found his constant shouting, in order to speak over the wind, grating. Or maybe it was due to every night they landed to rest, he’d been permitted to touch, only to be interrupted by Demons!
Ever since deciding their path, they’d shared two nights of touching, tasting, and Aleron learning his bride’s favourite places. Only for it to end with him needing to swiftly collect the male and his precious case, and leap.
In the day, Aleron gained no rest. He didn’t know what sparked this human turning into a bold, perverse little beast, but Gideon tried teasing him in the air. He touched Aleron’s chest, lifted up to kiss at his jaw, with his trousers hiding away his hardness. Then the male muttered words that didn’t seem erotic but absolutely were for Aleron.
When he’d chosen to land in the daytime, the sun making his bride’s eyes appear even more heated than usual, a Demon lurking in shade came near. Such a rare occurrence, and apparently only for when Aleron was hard and needy.
Gideon then promised he wouldn’t do it again, and Aleron didn’t know if he was relieved or not.Perhaps if there are no Demons...
They’d gone most of their travels without seeing the horrible, nasty vermin, so why suddenly now? Just when Aleron could finally grasp this human and drink from his lips?
His seed sacs now constantly ached, and his need was growing violent. Aleron wanted release, and the denial of it seemed to be warping his thoughts. In Tenebris, there had been no pressure within his seed sacs, only the bliss of release. Release that had beenmildin comparison to releasing with liquid expelling from him.
Now it built and built until Aleron felt overfull.
He’d even considered tearing the human’s pants from him and shoving him down on his cock while he flew. Where they were safe. Where no one could interrupt them.
Considering how his wings and body reacted under the lightest touch from Gideon, Aleron knew he’d crash against the ground before he even reached orgasm. They’d fall, but he’d be too busy rutting his body to care.
Aleron didn’t know if Gideon was ready for him to unleash that. His bride was set on making Aleron prepare him without giving him the bliss they both sought.
He could land to try again in the day, but Aleron was split between two desires, both important, both strong, both tugging him in different directions.
One was to connect with his bride, consume him on nearly all levels. The other was to find his kindred.
The balance of that, his longing never tipping one way or the other, weighed on Aleron. He wanted both. Not tomorrow, but now, this very second. He ached so acutely with these needs that they mangled him.
Now that Gideon had slowly begun to open up to him, Aleron’s focus on him waned and only grew stronger towards their search. His anxieties transformed, evolving into new worries.
Then, today, he’d discovered Gideon to be a chatty little thing.
