Page 227 of A Soul to Steal

Even his damn toes curled while his feet started kicking in a feeble attempt to escape after the last time he came.

He pushed his hips upwards once more, a little firmer now that a small amount of strength had returned. This time, Aleron helped to lift him off his cock.

The loss of soothing heat and the copious amount of liquid that came from him caused him to cringe. At least his pants were around his ankles and away from getting saturated.

Hopefully now that Aleron was no longer jammed inside him, he’d put that purple snake monster away.

A false disgruntled moan fell from him. “Aleron... You don’t have to completely drain my balls every time we do this. I’d like to walk afterwards.”

Shit. I don’t even know if anything came out of me by the third time.Human men weren’t meant to come this much back-to-back!He’s going to rail me to death one day.His heart would give out, or his lungs would completely seize and he’d pass out from the lack of oxygen.

An evil, sinister sort of chuckle rumbled from Aleron as he bumped his snout against Gideon’s sweat-coated brow. “Maybe I do not want you to walk. I rather like you docile for me.” He slid his rough palm down his abdomen, tickling it with his claws. “You are very naughty, little spring.”

Before Aleron could go any lower, Gideon shot his hand down and shoved his fingertips between the fingers to stop him. Then he only gripped a few so their rings couldclinktogether.

His cheeks would have heated in embarrassment at what Aleron said, but he wasn’t ashamed of it.

Gideon had never felt freer than being entangled with his Duskwalker. His perverted thoughts and desires? They only seemed to excite Aleron. There was no judgement. It likely would cause Gideon to want to do some questionable shit with him, all of it in the hopes of it feeling good for both of them.

Plus, who was going to judge him... Emerie?

Her own cries were still going, echoing through the forest. Gideon had tried his best to stay quiet. Considering her crescendo only seemed to be getting louder, it appeared she’d forgotten her surroundings just as much as he did in the end.

Of course he’d rather not see or be seen, if given the choice. Not being heard might be out of the question, though, unfortunately.

Gideon mentally shrugged; it’d be something they’d both just have to accept.

With his body so relaxed, he barely tensed a muscle when Aleron brought Gideon higher up his chest while he continued to lay back. Aleron pulled Gideon into the crook of his arm until his head rested against the ball of Aleron’s shoulder joint and his arse fell into his large palm. His feet tucked between his furry thighs as Gideon’s legs rested over his hip, finding a place to be comfortable.

Aleron held him off the ground like he barely weighed anything.

With how gentle he can be, I sometimes forget how strong he is.Yet... he didn’t feel weak or inferior to Aleron, just small.

Together, they stared up at the dappled light glittering through the canopy of leaves above. Their chests eventually softened their heaves, their breaths lulling to normal rhythms. A fluffy white cloud quickly floated past, highlighting the bitterly cold wind Aleron was shielding him from.

Not once had Gideon ever laid back in someone’s arms and just stared up at the sky before. Not even in the day. He’d been too busy rushing through his short life, trying to reach all his goals, not knowing it was about to end prematurely.

Now that his brow had dried, his damp hair swayed across his forehead. He rested his arm across Aleron’s stomach.

I’ve never been at peace like this.

It was made even better by the subtle scent of hazelnuts, cedarwood, and their strange mix of sexual musk.

I think it was fate that we were meant to meet.Whether some higher power was out there directing all beings in the world, or it was a random, chaotic cosmic event, there had to be some kind of destiny at play.

As he pondered over their story, it became apparent their chances of meeting were slim.

Gideon had needed to die eight years ago to be here now, and Aleron needed to find a way to meet him in the afterlife. Even then, they’d been there together for a few months, never passing, never knowing to reach out for each other – like the moon unwittingly chasing the sun. Emerie had needed to suffer all that she did, remain pure hearted despite all the adversity she’d faced, and then bring them together once she sacrificed her own life for Ingram.

Without all these things, and probably many more unknown interferences from fate, this tranquillity he experienced in this monster’s arms would never have happened.

I can’t believe I almost... missed this.

“Hey, Aleron,” Gideon called with a clog of emotion stuck behind his Adam’s apple. His mouth grew sticky, and he thickly swallowed. “I know I’ve never said it, but thank you for bringing me back to life with you.”

Aleron placed his palm over the back of Gideon’s hand where it rested on him, gripping the entirety of it in a tender hold. Since his ear was against the left side of Aleron’s chest, he witnessed the moment Aleron’s heart seemed to stutter before beating frantically.

When Aleron didn’t respond, Gideon turned his gaze up to see his pink orbs had brightened in their hue.He doesn’t know how to respond. But it was obvious his words had overwhelmed him with joy.
