She’d also been attracted to the etched, swirling black designs on it.
“It’s very revealing,” he commented, easily snaking his hands inside it from the sides to touch her back.
Uncertainty clasped her sternum. “Is that a bad thing?”
His lips quirked. “Not at all.” Then he grabbed her hips and forcibly spun her around until her back was to him. Zylah gasped at a tearing sound. “That’s better.”
Her tail was freed by his nimble fingers, and she looked over her shoulder to inspect the new slit in the back of the dress for her tuft to poke through.
“Thank you. I was going to do that.”
“Well, I already know you don’t like your tail being covered or pushed down.”
The tuft swayed softly as she turned around and lifted her arms. “Do you like it?”
She was hoping to find other designs similar to it, as she didn’t like the long, flowy dresses these people wore.
Placing his hands on the backs of her thighs, he pulled her closer to nip at her exposed side. “Very much.” Then he pressed his chin against her when he looked up. “I have one last thing to show you.”
Zylah squealed when she was thrown against the bed suddenly. Before she’d managed to settle, he held the coil of rope that had been at his side and licked at the seam of his lips. He pulled back as he wrapped both ends around his hands and snapped his arms to the sides until the rope was taut.
“I found it in the library. Since it’s enchanted, you won’t be able to break it.”
“I don’t understand,” Zylah admitted, her sight shifting to dark yellow.
She wanted to shrink under the devious grin he produced. “Since you’re strong and have a habit of clawing me, I’m going to bind your hands to the wall and have my wicked way with you.”
When she chittered nervously, despite her pussy walls pulsating at what he insinuated, he leaned down. He pressed a kiss to the side of her snout with a hungry rumble vibrating fromhis throat – or maybe it was a mean chuckle, she wasn’t quite sure.
“You’ll have to take that dress off for me, though.”
“I’m not sure about this anymore,” Zylah said, as she pulled on the restraints around her wrists. She tugged them apart and the two inches of rope connecting them refused to budge.
Jabez’s bare chest brushed the tip of her snout as he leaned over her. A subtle gasp left her when he yanked on what remained of the enchanted rope that had been threaded through a natural notch in the wall and stretched her arms above her head.
“You’ll be fine,” Jabez rebutted. “If you get too stressed, I’ve tied you in a way I can easily undo.”
Although he didn’t say it, she could hear in his gentled tone that he wanted her to trust him.
She tried not to be self-conscious of the fact that the only item of clothing between them was his thin pants. Laying here naked while he bound her in a way that left her defenceless was nerve-racking. Her heart had been racing since this started, and her knees knocked together.
Desire and anxiety warred with each other.
She dipped her head back as best she could, since her antlersgot in the way, and inspected how he tied her. He’d coiled the rope around each wrist multiple times before attaching them together. Apparently doing so helped lower the chance of cutting off circulation in her hands, but it was snug.
She yanked on the rope to test it. The natural, although thick, loop in the smooth bark creaked under her strength. He placed his hand over her wrists to stop her.
“Try not to break the wall.Thatisn’t enchanted against a Mavka’s strength.” Since he was straddling her waist, he leaned forward and stretched out until they were almost nose to nose, and his bergamot and sandalwood scent flittered in her senses. With his eyes staring into her orbs and his voice low, he asked, “Is it uncomfortable or too tight?”
The gems dangling from the chain of his left horn glittered in the disappearing sunlight and snagged her sight. She adored what the decoration meant, and that he wore something permanent, in the same way she held his soul between her antlers.
She wondered if he’d chosen the colours of the gems based on their orb and eye colour. If so, then she adored them even more.
Wanting to show she trusted him and the bindings were fine, she dabbed her tongue against the corner of his full lips. They twitched under her press and he leaned his head down.
“I guess we can begin then.”
Her head tilted to the side in welcome when every time he pressed a kiss down the length of her bony jaw, his tongue rolled between his lips. Although she knew her face to be unusual, Zylah...lovedthat Jabez never shied away from being attentive to it, like it didn’t matter that she was so different. Like... he found her beautiful, regardless of it.
