Emmet empties into me, and I’m whole again.

“Please,” Emmet begs, “I need it.”

Emmet’s name thunders out of Jayce and the table stills. When Jayce’s legs shake as he comes, the circle is complete.

My brain’s mushy, my body limp.

“So what I’m hearing is that I’m the double penetration winner. I’ve gone where no man has gone before.” Emmet’s so self-satisfied that I throw my head back and laugh.

Chapter forty-two

Jayce

“Flash me again,” I demand from my hotel room.

Madyson has her tablet propped up on the bathroom mirror while they get ready. I’m stuck in Boston, missing them like crazy. I’ve been spoiled with them in my bed for the last month.

Emmet turns and moons me, exposing his pretty hole. His hands spread his cheeks so I get the perfect view. Baby Girl waits until he’s done to show me her boobs.

I groan. “I’m taking a different job. Both of you need to be sucked and fucked.” We agreed for now that we won’t have sex unless the three of us are together. I might amend that rule soI can watch them fuck tonight. I left yesterday morning before they woke and I fly back the morning after next, but I’m trying to get a late-night flight tomorrow.

“J-Bear, today’s going to be fine.” He leans into the tablet. “You’ve got this.”

I mumble a response. Yesterday, I watched a tournament anonymously. The Enforcers didn’t want the players to see me until today. When I have a scheduled press conference.

“You have your medication?” Madyson asks, but it’s more of a stern reminder.

“Yep.” I shake the bottle. My doctor prescribed medication for my panic attacks on the recommendation of my therapist. Therapy is rough but ultimately helpful.

The Enforcers rely on me to represent the organization in a positive light. They’ve done so much for me, and I can’t let them down.

“Kiss for me,” I say to distract myself. Thinking about what type of non-hockey related questions that might be asked today drives me mental.

They obey immediately, but Emmet’s phone trills with his mother’s ringtone.

Sighing, he snatches it off the counter. “I’ll be right back.”

He’s not wearing a shirt, so I enjoy the view of the phoenix and toned arms. My gaze swings back to my girl.

“You’re up early,” I say as a question.

“I’m going to the studio to make pretty things.” Her smile relaxes me. “Why stay in an empty bed when I can make…” Her voice trails off as we hear Mrs. Asher’s hysterical voice.

Madyson rushes out and I yell, “Take me with you.”

Wordlessly, she grabs the tablet. We exit the bathroom and find Emmet in the walk-in closet.

His mom isn’t making sense, and he’s calmly trying to reassure her. “No, it’s good that you protected yourself.” He’s nodding in agreement to her babble. “It’s very scary when your nurse turns into an assassin. Where is she now?”

She isn’t making sense to me, but Emmet seems to understand her. “Mom, I need you to go in the cupboard above the sink and get out the blue pill container I made you.”

“That’s how she tried to kill me!” she shrieks.

“Okay, can you lie down for me? Lock the door and lie down. I’ll call the agency and make sure they don’t send anymore assassins.” Obviously, Emmet’s done this before and my heart breaks for him.

I hate I’m not there. My heart rate spikes with the feeling of helplessness.

Emmet hangs up and shouts, “Bullshit motherfucking dicks in hell.” He runs a hand through his hair. “Okay, okay, I’ll call Cole and see if he can cover…fuck, he’s scheduled for a back tattoo. That takes hours. Alec…nope. Okay, think,” he mutters and paces the step and a half in the closet.
