“Who me?”

“Ain’t nobody else in this muthafucka. I’m talking to you.”

“Nigga we haven’t spoken all week and you want me to come to your house? Nah, I got something to do.”

“Don’t be there and see what happens.”

“Do what you gotta do but I won’t be there. The last time I was there your baby mama showed up and busted my car windows. Fuck I look like?”

“Didn’t I pay to get the shit fixed? You can park in the garage.”

“I got something to do so don’t look for me.”

“Cool.”

I rolled my eyes at his back as he walked out of the kitchen. He had me fucked up.

“What we gotta do to make this shit move faster?” I asked my business partner. The apartment complex I bought over a month ago was supposed to be already under construction but something was slowing my project down.

“I’m trying to get all the permits signed and shit but it’s taking a process.”

“Man fuck that. You better fuck whatever bitch you gotta fuck up there at the city hall and get my shit signed. You know how my patience is when it comes to my investments. Get this shit handled. I want people moved in within the next ninety days.”

“Ninety days?”

“You heard me. If you got on your job and stopped worrying ‘bout getting that lil’ pink ass dick wet, my shit would be already getting renovated.”

My business partner thought I didn’t know about his extracurricular activities he liked to do at his house. The muthafucka fucked so many black women that he was damn near the new Hugh Hefner. A few of them I sent his way just to see if he was playing with my money. He was the real deal but I felt like his need for females was fucking up his concentration. He went from being on top of shit to slowing my shit down.

“I’ll get it done.”

“Whoever that hoe is that’s slowing your thought process down, cut her off.”

“She bad though. I can’t get her to fold for me.”

“Yeah, well maybe you need to leave her the fuck alone to get this project started or I’m cutting you out. You got three months.”

I walked out of the abandoned apartment and got in my car. This shit frustrated me because I feel like my money was wasted and I was ready to move on to another project but I hated having shit undone. My thought went to Blessyn and her new shop. We hadn’t been talking that much because I was busy but not busy enough to not send her a gift or simple text. I picked my phone up and called her. I hadn’t heard her voice in a while and it was a month since our last date.

“Hey, stranger.”

“Wassup.”

“I just got a delivery but I’m afraid to open it up here at the shop.”

“Nah, don’t open it there. Wait until you get home. Check this out though. It’s been a minute since I been ‘round you and that’s my fault. I promise you that it won’t be like this all the time. Can we link up tonight? I’ll plan everything just show up with what'sin that box and I’ll send you where I want you to come. Can you do that for me?”

“I don’t know if I’m liking the way this is sounding.”

“Trust me, you’ll be safe. I gotta go but I’ll see you tonight.”

I clicked over to where Perc was calling me. He had kind of tore his ass with me since I had to go get his ass from his baby mama house. I told him to stop going over there into her trap to pick his daughter up. Lexus goal was to get him locked up and if that happened, it was going to be hard to be around his daughter with a family violence charge. He wasn’t thinking and that’s what pissed me off with Perc.

“Wassup?”

“I need you to meet me at our spot. We got a situation and if I handle it, it won’t be pretty so you better get your rational thinking ass here.”

“On the way.”
