She clasped her mother’s hand and squeezed it, her lips curving in a dazzling smile.

Brianna relaxed a little.

“Does Malik know?” Julia asked.

“I’m going to tell him this weekend. It’s his birthday.”

Victor emerged from the crowd and took a seat next to Theo. “It’s whose birthday?”

Theo brightened.

Surprise widened Victor’s eyes when Brianna reluctantly told him about her pregnancy. “Congratulations.”

“Thank you.”

A loud sigh sounded opposite Cassius.

Tenebra was looking downcast.

“Children,” she mumbled. “They sure get selfish when they grow older.”

Julia leaned sideways toward Lachesis. “What happened to her?”

It was Atropos who replied. “Temir kicked her and her sisters out of his domain.”

Kes looked a little guilty at that. Tenebra narrowed her eyes at her.

“All because you tried to seduce Mortis,” she said accusingly.

“I said he was cute,” Kes protested.

“You also touched his thigh, like Alecto just did to Theo,” Orena said primly.

Victor froze. “What?!”

An aura of black flames shivered into life around him as he glared at the unrepentant Goddess in question.

“Great,” Cassius mumbled, clocking Suzie’s glower where she stood staring at them from behind the bar. “She’ll definitely banish us this time.”

Theo did his best to calm his bristling lover.

Warmth radiated through Cassius’s soul core. His pulse quickened.

Morgan appeared at his side.

“Why does Victor look like he’s about to commit murder?” he said in a puzzled voice.

He dropped a kiss on Cassius’s cheek and sat next to him. Cassius handed him a beer.

“His boyfriend got groped by a couple of Goddesses,” Julia explained.

“A couple?!” Victor snarled.

Morgan made a face. He removed three pairs of keys from inside his jacket and handed them to Atropos. “Here. These are for your apartments.”

Atropos accepted them with a grateful smile. “Thank you, Ivmir.”

“So, are we on the same floor as you and Cassius?” Megaera asked brightly.
